   Unhelpful staff, too busy chatting in the back. I have always supported Barnardos, in-fact I used to work for barnardos. I am currently clearing my late father’s property and have a huge amount of good quality items to donate but sadly now not to Newport Barnardos. I even asked the staff if they wanted my details for gift aid and the response was ‘ if you want too!!’

   This shop has a lovely feel to it, it's bright and spacious, you can tell it's new. I can usually find something for myself in there. I only take one star away because their pricing for brands like Primark or George is way too expensive. They priced basically the same as better brands (which are priced reasonably).

   When we go shopping we like to enjoy it and don't expect to be glared at. Going into this shop was stressful. The staff stayed out the back and you had to ding a bell to get served. I asked the lady to get something off the shelf for me and her face was like thunder. Because it was a large glass item, I asked for some newspaper and she said she had nothing. She tried to put heavy books into my carrier bag with this glass! The selection of goods was poor, with mainly new items, underwear, etc, of market quality but department store prices. Yes, its a charity but people have to watch the pennies these days. We will always let people know if we have had a bad experience and this was one. This well loved charity deserves their staff to treat customers better. Try the charity shop a few doors down if you want nice pleasant service and great prices.
