   Very rude man serving on the till (white hair). When I gave him my items to scan he told me that I should have used the self scan as I was paying by card in a very patronising tone. I asked him if there were any signs indicating this and he said no, so I then asked how was I meant to know. He didn’t have an answer but continued to serve me in a rude way whilst rolling eyes and saying that yes he would make a sign for the future. I’ve come away honestly baffled about the encounter, especially when multiple people had been served before me and paid by card/phone with no issue at all.

   Pretty standard WHSmith service area store. A good range of products for life on the road including food, car accessories books etc. Well laid out store but obviously more expensive than a high street store.

   WH Smith shop selling all the usual things you find in WH Smith in a service station. You can get cheap chocolate bars occasionally if you know where to look. If you don't know where to look, just ask someone who works there where the cheap chocolate is. They'll probably say that it's on the counter...
