“My 14 year old son decided he needed to do something with his hair I didn't understand. "A perm" he said. So he found New ID via a Google search. I took him after he booked an appointment. I am a standard blokey barber shop guy who just has a basic haircut from time to time so walking in felt a little awkward. A brown man with a brown child into a shop full of women staff and women customers, not brown. However, we were greeted with a "hello, take a seat" and it was totally comfortable after that. I left my son with I believe Heather who expertly did the perm, looked after him and he told me she had a chat with him and was really nice, just like everyone else. Good people. Lovely, welcoming, just nice. Good service. Good price. Thank you.”

“The name is a bit misleading as it's your standard barbers rather than what a "Saloon" might suggest. But if you're after a fast and fairly priced haircut this is definitely one I can recommend. He does exactly what you ask for and is efficient (but not rushing). As mentioned in other reviews, realistically no parking right outside. You can park easily and for free in Theodore Close which is about a two minute walk away. Or the Temple grounds which is around a 5 minutes trek.”
