“I joined Wickwoods in May 2024 and at the time, I had just been diagnosed as diabetic and really struggled to 'enjoy' any kind of gym I had ever joined before, very quickly cancelling my membership as I found it boring. Something had to change and I won't lie, when I initially signed up to Wickwoods it was not easy given the price but what I can honestly say is that in hindsight, it was one of the best decisions I ever made and it is worth every penny. I find the variety of classes, gym and racquet sports help keep me engaged and 18 months on I'm going 5/6 times a week and loving it, it's a great place to be for my mental health and I've reversed that diabetes also. The staff are so pleasant and I've made some great new friends also. If you are thinking about joining, I wouldn't waste any time in doing so, you won't regret it.”

“Eddies is amazing, great value for money and really friendly guys. I had a haircut, wet shave and massage all for £21. The kids love it as there's a PS4 for them to play on whilst they wait and the prices for kids stay the same on a Saturday. These guys are brilliant, give them a try.”

“Andy gave me a brilliant haircut. I walked in spontaneously and after reading these reviews. It was a dry cut (trim) with clippers and scissors. Andy really listened to what I wanted, checked in along the way and she was super careful to ensure I was happy with how it was going. “It's been a while since I've been in a room with 3 other people who are chatting away and I have no idea what is being said. Doesn't stop me from walking into the middle of them with a 'I hear you do a great wet shave', of course of course and I sit down to wait. There's a dude in the chair, being wrapped in a hot face towel after a shave. Another guy follows him before me. He's having a wet shave too. With me, that would make 3 consecutive wet shaves which is either a bit strange or a sign of a good place for a shave. No unnecessary hipster faffing here, I was offered tea or coffee as I waited (for all of 8ish minutes, so not long at all). Big poster of Johnny Depp as Demon Barber Sweeny Todd overlooking everything pretty cool. I didn't go for the super number 1 shave package which appears to include massage and ungents and unicorn tears as well. A standard wet shave for me, the dude can wield a straight razor that's for sure. I wasn't asked to pull any strange faces or even purse my lips. He winkled out every hair between my nose and my neck, including the tricky double chin area and wrapped me up with a hot towel to finish. £15 well spent and happily so. I'll be back next week for a proper cut and trim for sure.”
