“Stan fixed a sliding door that I was told by another company would have to be replaced at a cost of £5k so I’m delighted that he has managed to get the door working and also changed the lock for me- delighted. He also fixed another door and replaced hinges on 2 windows to get them working, again I was told by other company that these would have to be replaced. “I bought my kitchen from Howdens in Clydebank. Ellie who helped me was a lovely young Lady. I am delighted with my kitchen. Howdens did not recommend fitters but gave me some business cards. I was impressed with the can do attitude from Diamond kitchens and bathrooms based in the Clydebank area. All I will say is choose more carefully than I did. Update 24/10/25 I emailed Howdens regarding my experience with joiners who did my kitchen. I was a tad disappointed that the manager contacted the joiner before contacting his customer. Small gripe. I explained my experience and that the joiners only contacted me 8 days after they said they would because i had done a google review. I have the the phone call evidence stored on my phone. I would ask potential customers to do their homework when choosing a joiner to fit your kitchen.”

“I had a minor abdominal surgery (umbilical hernia repair) yesterday in the SAU at the Golden Jubilee and I was so impressed by this hospital and the level of care I received. All the hospital staff that I met (from the nurses, auxiliary staff and cleaners in SAU (and also pre-assessment a couple of weeks before), through to the nurses, doctors and specialists I dealt with in anaesthesia, theatre and recovery) were amazing. They were so lovely and friendly, and took the time to explain things, answer my questions and keep me updated and comfortable through the day. They all helped to put me at ease for my first ever anaesthetic and surgery, and I'm so happy that everything went as planned and I was back home the same evening. I also called this morning with a query about my wound and spoke to a very helpful nurse in SAU straight away. All areas of the hospital I visited were immaculately clean and the SAU is very modern and comfortable. I had my own private pod for the hours before and after my surgery, and was very well looked after with cups of tea, tasty soup, a sandwich and lots of biscuits once I'd recovered (what more could you want?!). I love our NHS and I appreciate it even more now. Thanks so much ❤️”
