Me and my other half come in here sometimes and I can say we are never disappointed. The lady and gentleman who own this place are very accommodating and so kind. “Excellent micro tap bar inside the indoor market hall. Lovely bar spread across 3 market units of space inside Tommyfield indoor market hall, very cosy and comfy little bar. Good choices of alcohol/ale's, Drink prices are really good value and not expensive at all! Friendly bar staff and lovely customers who seem to very chatty and welcoming. You can easily strike up good conversation in this bar and make new friends. This place is very much welcomed in the indoor market hall bringing new customers and faces to a part of the market hall that was a bit empty, Please support this little bar and visit Cob and Coal.”

“We loved Pots & Pans pizzas when they first opened in lockdown and was sorry to see it close, so when we saw that it had reopened we couldn’t wait to try it but was a bit worried that it might not be the same as we remembered. “I ordered the Phở Đặc Biệt, and it was really good! The broth was deeply aromatic and bursting with rich flavors—hands down the best pho I’ve had in a long time. The Cà Phê Special was loaded with a fantastic mix of rare steak, shin of beef, beef flank, chicken, pork belly, pork roll, and king prawns. The portion size was very generous. The staff were friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for a standout pho experience, this place is an absolute must-try.”

We had to wait for our starters which meant they were freshly prepared (the restaurant was quiet with it being during the week), some restaurants just warm up the starters but not here! We really enjoyed our starters. The main courses arrived & were excellent! Also desserts were good and we ate everything. My wife enjoyed her wine and I had an excellent ice cold pint of water!(I was driving). Top marks for everything here. They are very child friendly too. Our waiter was extremely friendly and the owner was too! We will be back!”

“'La Sensationale' Me and my partner have just been for the 1st time, and had a meal on a Saturday evening (6.00pm sitting). The place was packed when we walked in, so we thought that must be a good sign!? All courses were GORGEOUS and the portion sizes, although at first appearance seemed rather small, were actually just right! All staff that served us were lovely; very friendly and polite, which helped to make our visit feel extra special... This included the manageress who clearly runs a very well controlled operation as empty tables were cleared, cleaned and reset in a very fast and efficient manner! The place remained packed throughout our 2 hour stay, and we will definitely be returning very soon! A SPECIAL THANKS GOES TO MAGDALENA, WHO PROVIDED EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE THROUGHOUT!! “This chippy has been here since I was a Kid back in the 80's, and the family who have owned the chippy since I can remember are still producing the same awesome English and Chinese food around. This is my go to chippy because it's always a trip down memory lane, the recipies have never changed and the food still tastes the same as back in the day. So you know 30 years or more running the place they have mastered their entire menu, I would recommend to all.”

“The place to go in Royton - and Oldham for that matter - for craft beer. The menu is always changing with great choices from various breweries from across the UK. The atmosphere is always good and you're always given a friendly welcome. The food is great too, be it the in-house burgers or the various street food vendors that come into the kitchen, too.”

Chris and his partner the owners really nice down to earth people, if your in Uppermill pls go find this lovely lil hidden cafe entrance is on the front and go downstairs really well appointed estab sit on the river and forget about the daily grind also some under canope seating if the weather's not the best.”

“We have had a new kitchen installed by Wrights Interiors. From the first point of making contact with the company, they have been absolutely brilliant and so customer focused. Lisa came to our address and discussed what we wanted. We then went to their premises and chose styles, colours, handles and appliances. Both Lisa and Joe were very knowledgeable regarding the whole process. Joe provided us with a quote which was very reasonable. There was no pushy sales pitch and we were given the time to consider our options. We employed Wrights to fully rip out our existing kitchen and supply a full new one, including installing a new ceiling and plastering the walls. Joe kept in contact in the run up to the work starting, which was around one month from first making contact with Wrights. The fitting process from ripping out to finishing up took around a week. The staff doing the fitting and plastering (Phil, Glen and Danny, as well as the gas engineers) were absolutely brilliant and so accommodating. Nothing appears to be too much trouble for them, or the company. All of the old kitchen and any rubbish generated was disposed of promptly by Wrights and any issues were quickly ironed out. The whole process went very smoothly and they kept any inconvenience to an absolute minimum. The new kitchen looks brilliant. I would definitely recommend Wrights Interiors, Shaw to others and will definitely use their services again.”

“Fantastic family atmosphere as always. Sunday lunch is undoubtedly the best around. Summer time you have the beer garden with play area for the children and fabulous views. Winter time you have the cosy log fire and exceptional red wine.”
