“Always a winner for service and smiles! ​Seriously, what makes this place so great? It's the staff, every single time. In all the years I've been coming to Wagamama Media City, the team has been absolutely amazing. It's often a bit quieter than it should be, but honestly, the customer service is bang on—they are so attentive and welcoming! ​I went with a classic this time: one of their donburi rice dishes, a side of gyoza, and a few extra chilies to spice things up, and I was sorted! Plenty of smiles all round, and they've genuinely never let me down. Highly recommend a visit! ​I hope they see it and feel the love!”

“The Black Friar has been amazing to work with for our friendship group's annual Christmas lunch. They made the entire booking process extremely easy, with all the T&Cs clearly outlined from the start. On the day we were looked after by Jess, who was incredible, very quick to respond to any issues raised, never kept anyone waiting, so accommodating with our various quirks (like pictures), and was easy to reach when needed without making it seem like hovering. And always with a smile, of course. Truly, truly a standout member of the team deserving of all the praise. The food at the Black Friar was also divine, incredibly generous portions (that I admit, have bested me) and every bite was a pleasure for all the senses. Our whole group was very happy with the afternoon we got to spend there and we will definitely be looking into coming back for next year's annual Christmas lunch, a total gem of a pub.”

“We have always thought Hung Dragon was a great chippy, but it wasn't till we had visitors a few weeks ago, that we realized how good it is. My visitors said it was the best take out they have ever eaten, and they have tried a good few. They are now driving here when they want chippy.”

“A trip down memory lane to a beautiful spring day following a beautiful Bachata workshop hosted by factory international based in Manchester; led to an impromptu dinner at Suki Suki- famously known for their ramen! Lucky to be sat upstairs without a reservation, the interior of the restaurant carries a beautiful intimacy perfect for an escape from the bustle and hustle of the streets of deansgate. Opting to try other menu options, our table order included(from left to right): Yaki Udon with pork as the protein of choice 10/10- perfectly cooked with the right amount of spice and the pork was just perfect. Bang bang chicken served with the egg noodle was delightful, with the sweet and spicy blended and perfectly balanced. 10/10 Served with salt and pepper chips which you cannot go wrong with!also 10/10 The food was delicious, definitely a welcomed surprise as my sister and I were absolutely famished. The portions were large and perfect for sharing. Whether you are a solo diner, table for 2/4/6, it is modelled to accommodate any group size. Now, I would advise to book in advance if you want to be seated upstairs, the intimacy it offers is worth it. Will I be coming back to try more on the menu? Yes yes and yes! I appreciated how fast the service was considering it was a full room, the staff were very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed! I haven’t got the receipt this time, but the prices for the quality served 100% worth it and cost about £37.29- this includes a glass of white wine. Also if you are like us and end up being full with some food left on your plate, don’t be shy to ask the staff for takeout! Enjoy.”

“I got a delivery so can’t rate the atmosphere but I can tell you that the food was absolutely delicious was also hot and ready to eat apart from the fried chicken but I didn’t mind. Delivery was quick but was a bit pricey as I paid £25 in total for curry mutton rice and peas and coleslaw and fried chicken but that’s uber eats I guess. But was delicious so THANK YOU”

The only minor drawback was that the calamari was slightly saltier than I would have preferred, but this did not significantly detract from the overall experience. “Great food, portion sizes and price. Paper bags are appreciated, and fruit juice - so many places fizzy drinks are the only option but not here. Doner kebab is full of meat (never has bones in it) and the salad is always fresh. Fries are always seasoned nicely. Chicken wrap is also full of meat. This is the go to chicken shop on langworthy”

“My sister and I attended a Thai cookery experience at Thaikhun in Soinningfields Manchester. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole session. It was very well organised starting with a hot drink on arrival and a cocktail or mocktail with the main course that we had cooked. Noon and Layla were excellent teachers, explaining all the ingredients and processes in detail and making the whole experience interesting and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this as a fun thing to do with family and/or friends. We left with an apron, a book of recipes, a 15% discount voucher for the restaurant and leftovers from the starter and main course we had cooked.”

“Being in my early 40s now and having many Chinese takeaways over 3 decades, this is absolutely hands down our favourite Chinese and the only place we get from now! As you can see in the pic the sweet and sour chicken melts in the mouth, very generous portions such as the salt and pepper chicken which is our favourite starter, super friendly and efficient staff and very reasonable prices, cannot recommend highly enough! “First time today, the food was amazing!!! Loved the option for a two/three course meal at around £23. The Sunday roast was one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was seasoned!! And tasted so good and the portion size was perfect. The cookie desert was so tasty! Again the flavours were amazing. Defo coming back again.”

Shoutout to the lady who served us (I believe her name is Brita), she was extremely welcoming and provided excellent suggestions for our first meal. We had the Baked Portuguese Chicken with Rice, Baked Pork Chop with Rice in Tomato Sauce, Fried Vermicelli with Satay Beef and the iconic French Toast. All 3 proteins were cooked to perfection. I was extremely fortunate to have an ultimate dining experience and finally understanding the expression of ‘food melting in my mouth’. At one point, we took a pause from eating as we felt that we were unworthy of savouring such delicacies. We will return for more. Considering its location, it is definitely a hidden gem in Manchester, if not the United Kingdom!”

“Very good place, I would personally come back again. The price is cheap in my opinion comparing to other similar Chinese restaurant nearby. If you like Peking duck, this is the right place, but make sue you give this restaurant a call to check if there are any ducks left. Lastly, toilet is super clean, which is a bonus for me.”

“My absolute go to Chinese in the area. The portions are very well sized for the money and most dishes come with the rice or chips included. The food is always very hot and well presented. The fire chow mein and seaweed is our favourite! Definitely recommend as the best Chinese in the area, and we love supporting local.”

“Been enjoying roast meats all over Asia for the past 40 years. My first time at Park View ordering 3 meats and rice was spectacular, l portions were double than l would normally get from Manchester. “I ordered here via Deliveroo last week, had egg fried rice, kimchi pancake and salt and pepper chicken. The food was amazing and I didn’t notice or watch how long it would take to deliver but it felt like it was delivered in good time. The driver from the restaurant brought it right to my door (unlike other Deliveroo drivers who will make you come down) I loved the food so much I added it on my list of places to eat back at and did a google search which is where I saw the poor reviews on here. I’m surprised to see some of them as I had a pleasant experience - I would say to give it a chance.”
