Especially David always greets everyone with a big smile and so much care, making guests feel welcome and wanting to come back time and time again! I've become a regular without even realising it and looking forward to many more bruches in the future! Would 100% recommend!”

“My absolute go to Chinese in the area. The portions are very well sized for the money and most dishes come with the rice or chips included. The food is always very hot and well presented. The fire chow mein and seaweed is our favourite! Definitely recommend as the best Chinese in the area, and we love supporting local.”

“I am so glad this store opened in Media City. It was badly needed. I come in here nearly every day for groceries. I’m never disappointed. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially if I get stuck with the self service tills. There is a wide range of goods available, certainly enough to keep you going if you live in Media City. I would recommend getting the Co-Op App and becoming a member. It only costs £1 and you get lots of savings on your shopping. All you need to do is scan your bar code when you pay and you’ll see the savings. The store is situated near several apartment buildings and there is a car park and two hotels next to it. There are also many bars and restaurants nearby too so it’s a handy stop after an evening out. There are often price reductions in the evenings too if you’re looking for a bargain. “Found this place using maps and it said over 4*. Should have been a 5*. The food was really good and service too. They had more delivery drivers coming in than McDonald’s. That’s how good the food was. Will definitely go back when in Manchester”

“I can only echo what has already been said: this is a very nice cafe that deserves to do well. + Excellent coffee from local coffee roaster (Blossom). Lovingly prepared: thoughtful and attention to detail Very friendly and welcoming staff Good choice of cakes The food menu is limited but clever for a very small venue. Brunch and breakfast options. It's also very reasonably priced. No real negatives to report: a couple of minor things could have been better on our food (e.g. toasting/warming the bagel before adding the ingredients), but they're very minor. We will definitely come back and I'll get a bacon sandwich on the way to work soon.”

“The Black Friar has been amazing to work with for our friendship group's annual Christmas lunch. They made the entire booking process extremely easy, with all the T&Cs clearly outlined from the start. On the day we were looked after by Jess, who was incredible, very quick to respond to any issues raised, never kept anyone waiting, so accommodating with our various quirks (like pictures), and was easy to reach when needed without making it seem like hovering. And always with a smile, of course. Truly, truly a standout member of the team deserving of all the praise. The food at the Black Friar was also divine, incredibly generous portions (that I admit, have bested me) and every bite was a pleasure for all the senses. Our whole group was very happy with the afternoon we got to spend there and we will definitely be looking into coming back for next year's annual Christmas lunch, a total gem of a pub.”

“Marble Brewery are one of the best brewers around in my view. Their new tap has hit the ground running. On my visit, there was Pint on cask, in addition to 9 varied keg offerings and a full fridge. Great use of the space given its purpose and a place I'll return to.”

“This is an absolute treat! Instead of being in France due to industrial action, we sought to bring France to us and so glad we did. The food was high quality and in comfortable surroundings. Steak tartare as good as I have ever had (minus the egg yolk, because this in Britain!). A touch on the pricey side, but in this particular case, you do get what you pay for. Very good”

“Ok. Hear me out. I was visiting from Texas on a work trip. My office is right across the street. Took my team out to eat after work to get to know them and chose this place. I am always a pepperoni pizza type of guy. But two of my team ordered the chicken and waffle pizza which was amazing. I wanted to eat all their pizza and not my pepperoni. Came back to the states and looked for someone who made this pizza and no one. This will be my first stop on my next visit.”
