There is a selection of food options,the hygiene is average and I admire the presentation, the safety is fine and there has never been any problems with the food. Trams and buses are available nearby, which is perfect to do pick up. Parking is also right in front of it for free! It’s an amazing place that you should try, their pizza is also a delicacy!”

“Beautiful. Located in the quaint town of Uppermill, this chic cafe bar is a faithful spinoff of one of Uppermill’s best cafes, Caffe Grande Abaco. This cafe bar has a nice rustic and authentic atmosphere, like a traditional cafe bar you may find in Italy. Also, the staff are really friendly (10/10), especially Nigel (the owner), who was great to me. Plus, I went to Caffe Grande Abaco for 10 years, and it was quite emotional to meet Nigel, as I was always asking the staff at Caffe Grande Abaco, “Is the owner in?”. Now, back to Veloce! The cafe offers a variety of drinks, handpicked from CGA (at this point, I’m going to shorten it - Caffe Grande Abaco). So, you can have a nice latte or a cosy hot chocolate while you chill and warm up here. Surprisingly, it is also a deli, since they have charcuterie meats and cheeses, condiments, authentic Mediterranean pastries and biscuits, and even freshly baked bread (so authentic!). I tried Rogers Pistachio Cruffin (mix between a croissant and a muffin) which was crispy and flaky on the outside, but fluffy and indulgent on the inside, and the silky pistachio cream made it even better. Perfect for breakfast! They also do sandwiches here, with fresh sourdough and scrumptious meats and cheeses and even flaky sausage rolls. What I really want to mention, however, is the fact that they are supporting local businesses. Most things here (the pastries, products and even honey) are made by small businesses in towns near Uppermill, which is really nice as Veloce is helping out those businesses. Overall, this place is a must if you are looking for a proper Italian cafe bar, and some delicious food. It is also perfect if you want to buy some charcuterie meats and cheeses, as they have a wide variety of them. Only complaint is, Veloce really needs to bring in some Arancini, as I don’t see much Arancini in Saddleworth, and I’m very sad about that. “Fantastic family atmosphere as always. Sunday lunch is undoubtedly the best around. Summer time you have the beer garden with play area for the children and fabulous views. Winter time you have the cosy log fire and exceptional red wine.”

“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. From the classic Sunday roast to the rotating chef’s specials, the food is consistently 10/10 — it’s far beyond what you’d expect from pub food and easily rivals high-end restaurants. “We turned up as a party of 5, late notice on a Sunday evening after a long drive from the West Country. Despite the kitchen about to close, the lady who served us was extremely accommodating and we were soon served with absolutely lovely Sunday roast dinners; delicious food and plenty of it, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and a nice clean and friendly pub.”

“Best pizza and donna in Oldham if not Manchetser. Super awesome pizzas , now that’s what you call a pizza, I felt I was back in Italy non of those fat stojjy pizzas these were thin crust baked and delicious. Oh and the amazing lamb meat donna was fantastic not to forget the buffalo’s strips they were delicious . Oh and if you love spicy hot then rest assured you’ve come to the right place. The whole experience was great!!!! They’ve smashed it !!!!”

“Great Indian supermarket, fresh herbs, garlic, chilli ( lots of varietys) at about half the normal supermarket price. Lots and lots of dried beans , peas, lentils and other pulses , a very good range of ground spices and curry mixs in different size bags from about 250g upto 1kg A good range of jars of curry sauce / pastes . Huge bags of rice. A good range of oils A limited range of yoghurt, butter, cold drinks . Some kitchen equipment like sives, huge pans, tin openers. But the best thing is the staff , they are friendly and accommodating and can answer all sorts of questions regarding their stock , like how to cook things , what would go best with different sauces , how to prepare / store the fresh herbs and spices.”
