“A charming little restaurant with beautiful, wholesome, Polish food. The service was excellent too, the team were super friendly and very keen to chat! The food arrived promptly and everything was clearly freshly made and tasted delicious. We had starters and mains washed down with honey beer (yum!) and finished off with homemade Polish cakes. The portions were generous too. I would definitely go back, we had a great experience.”

“A perfect way to beat the heat on a warm summer’s day! The cruise was excellent, with an engaging, well-spoken guide who shared plenty of interesting facts. The crew were warm and helpful, and the boarding point—right under the Millennium Footbridge by The Lowry Theatre—was clearly signposted. Great value for money, offering a chance to explore hidden corners of Manchester and Salford you wouldn’t normally see, including MediaCity, The Lowry, the Imperial War Museum North, Old Trafford, and the historic Manchester Ship Canal. Absolutely worth it!”

“Their kobida with naan was perfect — juicy, well-seasoned, and the naan fresh and just soft enough to soak up all the flavors. The chicken shawarma had that smoky, tender texture I look for, and the chicken tikka with rice was excellent: moist pieces of chicken, fragrant spices, and the rice was fluffy and fragrant. Overall: great food, good portion sizes, and I’ll definitely be going back. Highly recommend if you like Afghani / Middle Eastern-style dishes done well. Love, Ayesha TikTok : @ayeshshahnawaz”

“I ate here with my son this afternoon. We had a main each and shared a side dish. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food, it was delicious, fresh and well presented. They were good portion sizes, plenty for us and it wasn’t a long wait. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. The young lady serving us was friendly, polite and also helpful when we enquired about different dishes. £44 for our meals and a drink each was good value. We will definitely be back and will visit again with friends.”

“A park near M60 with a few on-street parking bays. The park is clean and so relaxed to walk around. Also, there is a tree trail in the park and you may find birds and squirrels in it.”

“My friend recommended bijou and have been going for awhile now, I’ve been other places too but I love bijou and went there for New Year’s Eve. Booked a table for New Year’s Eve this was very reasonable in comparison to other places. The place was sooo packed it was a great vibe, everyone looked so glamorous and a friendly crowd. Place - looked amazing, love the decor, style different rooms spacious place. The bouncers even thou so busy were really nice and chatty and made me feel welcome. “Went to watch Cinderella over the Christmas period. The cast were brilliant and the script very well written. As others have mentioned, the ugly sisters were the stars of the show with lots of interaction with the audience. Overall, very good value for money on the initial purchasing of tickets and what the play delivered. I wasn't sure on the parking arrangements and it appears limited where you can park but there were some spaces behind and around the row of shops. We caught the bus to the local precinct and walked the 10 minutes so that is a viable option. The venue itself has food and drink on sale that is very reasonably priced and you can pay both with cash and card. It is a small venue that until recently I did not know even existed. It's intimate and seating, while seen better days, was adequate and even after the near 3 hours being there, was not feeling uncomfortable. Overall, an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon with family”
