“First time visited. I'll be back!!!!! Lovely atmosphere and the staff are brilliant. Very informative, friendly, and happy. The building has a rich history, and I think it is either the 1st or 2nd oldest pub in England - I may have this wrong, but it's a beautiful building. .....and the cider, oh my goodness!! The rhubarb and ginger cider is like fruit juice. I think it was 7%, but so yummy, and very more-ish -BE CAREFUL. Can't wait to go back. I've put 5* for food, it was the most tasty pastie.”

“First time visiting and we weren't disappointed at all. We at half chicken and the hunters chicken from the special menu. Both Freshly prepared and looked stunning. We enjoyed every mouthful. “A real upscale place! Fabulous spacious bar with plenty of seating and large screens, lovely clean room for 3 adults sharing. Not a lot of parking but that was the only complaint. Fabulous breakfast too, even swapped out my egg for black pudding which not everywhere will do. Great and also close to other bars and Horwich centre - about a mile walk to the Bolton Wanderers ground.”
