Lovingly prepared: thoughtful and attention to detail Very friendly and welcoming staff Good choice of cakes The food menu is limited but clever for a very small venue. Brunch and breakfast options. It's also very reasonably priced. No real negatives to report: a couple of minor things could have been better on our food (e.g. toasting/warming the bagel before adding the ingredients), but they're very minor. We will definitely come back and I'll get a bacon sandwich on the way to work soon.”

“I’m currently on my third laser session on my intimate area and I’m already seeing such great results. I’m getting hardly any regrowth and didn’t even need to shave between the second and third session! I suffer a lot with ingrown hairs, but these have also calmed down so much after getting laser, which I’m thrilled about. Sam works with me during the session to keep pain as minimal as possible whilst still doing it on a high enough setting to see fast results.”

Her knowledge and salon experience for clients is next level and it was fantastic to learn from her. On the day we went through different applications of biab nails, correct use of a efile and all the bits, product knowledge, how to build on my technique and so much more. Kirby has so much experience and has been on so many courses herself in the past, she really has all the knowledge to pass on! “The Black Friar has been amazing to work with for our friendship group's annual Christmas lunch. They made the entire booking process extremely easy, with all the T&Cs clearly outlined from the start. On the day we were looked after by Jess, who was incredible, very quick to respond to any issues raised, never kept anyone waiting, so accommodating with our various quirks (like pictures), and was easy to reach when needed without making it seem like hovering. And always with a smile, of course. Truly, truly a standout member of the team deserving of all the praise. The food at the Black Friar was also divine, incredibly generous portions (that I admit, have bested me) and every bite was a pleasure for all the senses. Our whole group was very happy with the afternoon we got to spend there and we will definitely be looking into coming back for next year's annual Christmas lunch, a total gem of a pub.”
