“The Black Friar has been amazing to work with for our friendship group's annual Christmas lunch. They made the entire booking process extremely easy, with all the T&Cs clearly outlined from the start. On the day we were looked after by Jess, who was incredible, very quick to respond to any issues raised, never kept anyone waiting, so accommodating with our various quirks (like pictures), and was easy to reach when needed without making it seem like hovering. And always with a smile, of course. Truly, truly a standout member of the team deserving of all the praise. The food at the Black Friar was also divine, incredibly generous portions (that I admit, have bested me) and every bite was a pleasure for all the senses. Our whole group was very happy with the afternoon we got to spend there and we will definitely be looking into coming back for next year's annual Christmas lunch, a total gem of a pub.”

“Tattu Manchester is one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food was absolutely delicious — the highlight for me was the sea bass fillet steamed, which was cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, creating a great atmosphere for dining. Prices are a bit on the high side, but definitely worth it for the quality of the food, the stunning interior, and the attentive service. I would definitely come back here next time I’m in Manchester.”

“Wow! We travelled from Shropshire to meet some friends before heading to the Co-Op for a concert, and we were absolutely blown away. We enjoyed the Fiorentina pizza, spaghetti carbonara, ragu, garlic bread, and fries. To drink, we had a Mimosa and a Daiquiri, followed by a limoncello gelato for dessert, every dish was insanely good! The food was beautifully presented, bursting with flavour, and served incredibly quickly. The service was exceptionally efficient, and the team were so friendly and helpful. The surroundings are warm, cosy, and tastefully decorated, making for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We cannot wait to return.”

“Stayed at travelodge lodge central arena as we were staying in Manchester seeing a show, ordered Don Bravo at 11.30pm, arrived before midnight however was missing 2 chips. I rung them and within 15 minutes they had delivered 2 piping hot fresh chips. Food was really good, service was great. I would recommend as well as order again. Thank you.”

“Being in my early 40s now and having many Chinese takeaways over 3 decades, this is absolutely hands down our favourite Chinese and the only place we get from now! As you can see in the pic the sweet and sour chicken melts in the mouth, very generous portions such as the salt and pepper chicken which is our favourite starter, super friendly and efficient staff and very reasonable prices, cannot recommend highly enough! “We came here as a lunch stop before attending a football game. There was a good range of drinks, my partner really liked the lager selection and that they were an own brand of beer! We wanted a light lunch where we both had the chicken wraps and some chip to share the food was DELICIOUS and it was a good varied menu, we will definitely look to come back in the future the next time we’re in Manchester!”

“I really enjoyed the food. The service was excellent and the staff were very helpful. I got the mix grill for 2, and it was more than enough for me, my wife and 2 kids. The owners are great and made us feel very welcome. The decor inside is stunning and the food is fresh and really tasty. My little kids even got lollies at the end. “Great traditional pub. Great entertainment on Friday nights for music & karaoke. The managers are great as are the staff. Great atmosphere and lovely group of regulars. Through the day, there is a beer garden at the back which is a sun trap and great for a relaxing pint after work.”

“Had a great experience here tonight. We were looked after by Jade and Eve and they were both so helpful. I have a gluten allergy (celiac) and they were really helpful and reassuring. Very on it with allergy’s and cross contamination. Overall great experience”

“Our favorite place for ribs! We always order buffalo ribs and were never disappointed. Great and fast service. Nice atmosphere. Just a note, they don’t serve any alcohol, but there are plenty places around if you want to go before or after. Looking forward to coming again.”

“Have been here multiple times and always get the chicken/beef fried ho fun and Hamon Style Vermicelli Noodles for a sweet and tangy taste. The food never disappoints. There is a huge variety of dishes to choose from. Ambience and atmosphere is cosy and authentic. Not an appropriate setting for a romantic date. The portions are large, can easily share 1 between 2.”

“Our go-to Chinese takeaway in Pendlebury. Never had an issue with this place. We've been using it for 7+ years. Sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips, veggie spring rolls. All standard, and very tasty. Almost always piping hot, occasionally warm but that's to be expected sometimes when you get it delivered. It's never cold. Though. Super cheap. Easy to order via telephone. Drivers always arrive with a smile.”
