“Zohaib Ali I went to see Zo to have a partial denture fitted after losing three loose molars a few years earlier. I had investigated implants during this time, but had reluctantly admitted that I wouldn’t be able to endure the treatment necessary to fit them: I’m squeamish about all medical procedures and have a phobia about needles, so when a sinus lift entered the equation, the possibility of implants went out of the window. But I was struggling to eat- I could only use one side of my jaw to chew and those teeth were taking quite a hammering. When I met Zo, I immediately had confidence in his abilities as a dental surgeon; his confident demeanour and the wide-ranging knowledge he displayed, as well as the empathy he expressed, made me feel that he would make sure I had as positive an experience as possible, regardless of the treatment. However, it became clear that partial dentures would not be an option for me- they would create too much pressure on my remaining teeth. It was going to be implants or nothing and it took quite a few conversations with Zo for me to believe I could go down that road. Several months and an amount of treatment later, I have three new perfectly-fitting back teeth and I can chew away as I always used to. They feel (and look) natural. Zo made the sessions more than bearable- some of them threw up complications, which he dealt with in a calm and expert manner. He is a supremely competent practitioner. And, surprisingly, there was quite an amount of laughter over the months of treatment, something which I never expected, given my aversion to all things medical (especially needles)! I still have to pinch myself that I was ‘brave’ enough to have implants fitted, but the reality is that I found a dental surgeon who could do the job to a supremely high standard whilst reassuring a patient as reluctant and jittery as I am. I would recommend Zo without hesitation. He has made ‘going to the dentist’ a tolerable, if not an almost-enjoyable, experience. With wonderful results. I’m grateful to him every time I eat a meal chewing with my whole jaw, something I didn’t believe I’d be able to do again. Thanks, Zo!”

“**"Exceptional Experience at the Barbershop!"** I recently visited the barbershop and had the pleasure of having my haircut done by Amir. From the moment I sat in the chair, I knew I was in the hands of a true professional. Amir's attention to detail and creative vision resulted in one of the best haircuts I've ever had! He took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and skillfully transformed my hair with a stylish, modern look that exceeded my expectations. The precision of his technique and the unique design he created are true testaments to his passion and expertise in his craft. I left the barbershop feeling more confident and refreshed, all thanks to Amir's incredible work. If you're looking for a barber who combines talent, creativity, and a genuine commitment to his clients, Amir is your go-to guy. Highly recommended!”

“Came in for a coffee and bag of coffee beans. Aidan is really friendly and his shop has a really cool vibe. The coffee is good and I can see myself hanging out here more often post-lockdown, or attending one of the events that Aidan is planning once things start to open back up. If you’re a local, go and grab a coffee and show some support!”

“Their kobida with naan was perfect — juicy, well-seasoned, and the naan fresh and just soft enough to soak up all the flavors. The chicken shawarma had that smoky, tender texture I look for, and the chicken tikka with rice was excellent: moist pieces of chicken, fragrant spices, and the rice was fluffy and fragrant. Overall: great food, good portion sizes, and I’ll definitely be going back. Highly recommend if you like Afghani / Middle Eastern-style dishes done well. Love, Ayesha TikTok : @ayeshshahnawaz”

“My sister and I attended a Thai cookery experience at Thaikhun in Soinningfields Manchester. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole session. It was very well organised starting with a hot drink on arrival and a cocktail or mocktail with the main course that we had cooked. Noon and Layla were excellent teachers, explaining all the ingredients and processes in detail and making the whole experience interesting and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this as a fun thing to do with family and/or friends. We left with an apron, a book of recipes, a 15% discount voucher for the restaurant and leftovers from the starter and main course we had cooked.”

“Came to manchester from london and ordered pounded yam and oha soup. As soon as I tasted the soup it felt like been transported back to the village. I could taste the home cooking in every bite. Atmosphere was good. The host was friendly and in my view one of the best African restaurants I have visited.”

“I can only echo what has already been said: this is a very nice cafe that deserves to do well. + Excellent coffee from local coffee roaster (Blossom). Lovingly prepared: thoughtful and attention to detail Very friendly and welcoming staff Good choice of cakes The food menu is limited but clever for a very small venue. Brunch and breakfast options. It's also very reasonably priced. No real negatives to report: a couple of minor things could have been better on our food (e.g. toasting/warming the bagel before adding the ingredients), but they're very minor. We will definitely come back and I'll get a bacon sandwich on the way to work soon.”
