I had called my solicitor I used for buying the house and they told me they will charge £150 for the ID verification, it was a bit of trip so I called Angel Wilkins to check the charges. Angel Wilkins didn't want any money from me, all they wanted is donate something to a charity (they have 3 options), I was really surprised by this as I had called others and they were all £150 plus. Been a company car driver for over 4 decades so no insurance in my name and despite having letters from previous employers confirming no accidents whist in their employment (I had use of company car for private use). Swinton Insurance, who insure my wife's car as the main user but I'm a named driver and have been for close to 40 years didn't take this into account, nor the fact I had never made a claim as a named driver.
