“This was our fourth time this year seeing Zippos Circus in Blackheath, and it’s officially become a tradition for my daughter and me! We’ve loved every single moment - the show is thoroughly entertaining, beautifully engaging, and full of heart. It’s such a joy to see performers from all over the world sharing their incredible talents. There’s a perfect mix of suspense (some acts had us watching with bated breath!) and joy - with lots of laughter, awe, and memories made along the way. You are truly inspiring - so much so that my daughter has now decided she wants to join your troupe when she’s older… but only if I come along to clap for her on tour! Each time we see an artist from my country of origin, my daughter gets especially excited - it’s such a lovely and unexpected connection. Genuine entertainment at its best. “A very interesting survival which has been repurposed as a conference and wedding venue which seems to be working very well as a means to preserve the fabric of the building. As is often the case which this type of building where local government has heroically stepped in to preserve a valuable piece of built heritage, the original contents are long gone and the interior reflects the history of varied uses but there it's lots to see here in terms of the interesting historical fabric and the exterior is spectacular. Thumbs up for the quite long opening season too - English Heritage could take note with some of their winter closing times. There is reconstruction work going on outside to recreate some formal garden features and there are modern visitor facilities. Also good exhibition space on the first floor - one of the English Civil War era battles of Newbury took place here more or less in the front garden and you can read all about that aspect of the history along with seeing some artefacts, weapons, armour and other items. I the day we visited, the Sealed Knot were having an event day and this featured social and civilian living History (including musical and dance) as well as drill and musketry demonstration ( and the Scottish armies of the Wars of the three Kingdoms were in attendance too, not just the English), so that adds to the experience if you attend on an event day. I think they are regularly in attendance. Pop into town if you have the chance - Newbury is well worth strolling around the canal and seeing the museum - an easy trip from West London.”

“The big slide is closed due to repairs. Nice but small park without the big slide. There's a duck feeder vending machine in the entrance. You get a handful of pellets to feed ducks. The walk along the river is beautiful, it leads to Locks.”

“We went on a Sunday and had the unlimited buffet for £23.95 included a long list of starters, intermediate duck course and main course. All the food was lovely but limited for gluten free and vegetarian options. We had a long wait between the second round of starters but it was busy. The staff were friendly. Have been coming here for years and it's always consistently great food.”

“This is a great place for a family day out, reasonable ticket price. Clean soft play area suitable for kids between 6-10 years old. Animals barn , tractor trailer, bouncing pillow and the whole park is huge! There is food counter as well, the price is reasonable in terms of a theme park. Last but not least, the staff are so friendly and you can see they keep empty the rubbish bins to keep the place tidy and clean.”

“Nice place to take in the fresh air or walk the dog, cricket club/loose ends (hot meals daily for those in need, food bank and essential clothing sleeping bags etc for homeless individuals) I believe they may take clothing/food donations”
