Breakfast in Leek

“29th of June /2nd July 2024, we stayed there for 3 nights, at Lavander retreat, and we enjoyed every minute of it . The hot tub was amazing ,we used it even when it was raining ,chilly outside nice warm water in the tub . Decent size of bed ,shower room ,all you need to enjoy the stay . Nobody disturbed us during our stay , we had music on giggles and laughter . One thing ..... the steps were slippery when wet and really dangerous. Thank you ,Hen Cloud Cottage x”

“Kerry and Craig are the most wonderful hosts. We had an overnight stay, and we were sad to leave. Such a beautifully maintained place. All comforts catered for in the countryside. Secure, peaceful, and quiet. The most comfortable bed and we had an incredible sleep. Our dog Tillie thoroughly loved staying as the Lodge is dog friendly. Some nice walks were enjoyed. The wildlife in the garden was a joy to see, and we enjoyed the antics of nesting jackdaws. Highly recommended for a self-catering stay .. We will be back ❤️❤️❤️”

“One of the best cafe's in Stoke-On-Trent. The staff here are so lovely and always happy to help and have a chat. Their toasties so delicious. And their coffee ☕ is insane !! So delicious and the prices are just a great as the coffee. I would recommend to anyone visiting leek , a real find :)”

“Love Ajs. Whether it’s a cuppa and a piece of delicious cake with the girls (the rocky road and chocolate brownies are a particular favourite) or lunch with my daughter it’s so lovely to get a smile and a bit of chat from the team. The cheese scones are delicious, my daughter loves the cheesy oatcakes and you can’t go wrong with one of their specials.....especially a meat and potato pie. My hubby loves a good breakfast on the weekend too. It’s a family affair for us just like it is for the team there. They treat you like family.”

From the moment I walked in, the staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, which immediately set a positive tone. They were attentive without being overbearing and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. The food was not only beautifully presented but also full of flavor — you can tell a lot of care goes into the preparation. Every dish I tried tasted fresh and well-balanced, and the portions were just right. It’s rare to find a place that combines excellent service with such high-quality food, but this restaurant does exactly that. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience.”

“Calzone was 10/10. Chips could do with some improvement but they were fine overall and we did order late. Still 5 stars because of the Calzone. Fast delivery also.”
