“Top mark's for being open, after most other good coffee shops had closed. A notable mention also, for taking Amex, when many places do not (not judging, I get it, but, nice for me that Elio do). Burnt Basque Cheesecake, if you please. That's cool. Atmosphere is light, bright, and airy (and a bit noisy, like most big spaces are). And the coffee? Expertly poured, for sure. Good stuff. Edit: OMG, I've just devoured the cheesecake .... absolutely superb.”
“What a lovely little café. The staff were lovely and friendly. I ordered a breakfast and changed a few items and it was really nice. Also had a nice pot of tea with a big cup. Good value for money too. Seating indoor and outdoor. I would visit again. Only thing is the menu up on the wall - the size was small with my poor eyesight but they had plenty of menus on each table to look at!”
“Great breakfast. My brother and I had mediums, around £8 with toast and a drink. They also do a special for £7.75 but I don’t remember what’s on it . Multiple options and sandwich’s available”
“Wow! What a gem on the Hagley Road! My partner and I had a late breakfast here on a Saturday, and what a joy it was. My partner ordered the Saganaki omelette and I ordered the Feta omelette. We also got two black americanos. The food arrived quickly, and was sublime. Both omelettes came with a lime wedge, a pickled pepper, raw onion, fresh mint, fresh basil and fresh flat leaf parsley. I greatly appreciated the herbs as I love them all, and I personally seasoned my omelette liberally with them. The omelettes also came with sesame flatbread, which we used to mop our plates clean! The coffees were great as well, with my only very minor note being that it would have been nice to have them in a glass with a handle, as they were too hot to handle for about 10 minutes. There is a single loo, which is accessible and well-maintained. Bonus points for a lovely sink basin. I'm including photos of the menu, which we were told has been recently updated. I think the prices are very reasonable for such good quality food. The cafe is decorated very nicely, and my only note about the general ambience was that the music was a very slight bit too loud for my taste. The staff were friendly and helpful, and created a friendly atmosphere. We will be back soon for a lunch and / or dinner - thank you Cafe Rumi!”
“My favourite breakfast spot in Bham. It has a really nice decor. I always come back for the saffron tea because I just can’t find it anywhere! We had the breakfast meze and it was such a feast! We chose the baba ghanoush, Shakshouka, damascena fuul and falafels. Had a party in my mouth dipping flatbreads in the different dips. The falafels were beautifully crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. And it’s also not heavy on the pocket.”
“A great hotel, supplemented by it's incredible staff, all of whom were so friendly, welcoming helpful, chatty and very competent. The studio room I stayed in was fantastic, incredibly clean, comfortable with every amenity required. A special mention of a the chap that helped with check in on Sunday 16th Nov around 8/9pm. He is a credit to your hotel, a great guy. Thankyou”
“We went to Birmingham for the weekend and thought it only right to have a curry whilst there. I'm very glad we picked this place in particular. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with a tranquil and calming ambience and the staff are all very warm and welcoming. The food was some of the best Indian cuisine I've ever tasted. The time taken into knowing a balance of spice never goes unnoticed. Altogether a fantastic experience at a reasonable price, well worth a visit.”
“The array of bread and pastries are great, with huge variety of both sweet and savoury options to have in or take away. Following suit, the menu is HUGE, especially for brunch, with lots of creative and unique options that you wouldn’t find elsewhere, mostly spins on brunch classics. We had the brisket benny, which was pretty nice. Pulled brisket and hollandaise sauce, with poached eggs and an English muffin. It was good, but didn’t quite live up to our excitement when we read it on the menu, falling a little flat. That being said, it was tasty and we will sure be back to try some other stuff as it all looked fab. I had a plain Crossiant, which unfortunately was verging on stale. Good flavour, but it was very hard and really wasn’t even close to my dreams of a flakey and light pastry. Oh well. The teas we had were very tasty, and the vibes in the place are pretty cool. There’s many rooms to choose from, so it does feel cosy and atmospheric. The staff were also nice, being pretty attentive and got the job done.”
“I had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The place itself is very nice and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and perfectly presented. The staff were so lovely and attentive, making sure everything was just right. I definitely recommend this place and would love to come back again!”
“Chikaros Restaurant – A Flavour Explosion Like No Other! Chikaros completely blew me and my family away. From the moment we walked in, we was hit with the most mouth-watering aromas. We knew we was in for a treat — but we wasn’t prepared for just how incredible it would be. Every dish was a masterpiece. The flavours? Bold. Rich. Perfectly balanced. You could taste the passion in every bite. I honestly caught myself doing a little happy dance in my seat — it was that good. The wings? Unreal. Juicy, crispy, full of kick. The smash burger? Melt-in-your-mouth magic. I don’t even know how they got the chips that crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Witchcraft, maybe. And don’t get me started on the sauces — they should be bottled and sold worldwide. I’d dip everything in them if I could. Service was top-tier. Friendly, fast, and full of smiles. They made us feel like royalty without being overbearing. The vibe in the restaurant was energetic but chilled — perfect for catching up with mates or treating the family. Honestly, if you haven’t been to Chikaros yet, you’re missing out on one of the best food spots in town. I’m already planning my next visit. 10/10. Would eat again. And again. And again.”
“Great little cafe with good variety to choose from It was quiet when we went in”
“Great location within walking distance of the NIA with lots of restaurants and bars along the way. The hotel is clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. We were on the 14th floor so we had a good view from the window. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hot breakfast was very good and they had a vegetarian option too. The hotel was very busy but expected this being in the centre of Birmingham. Car park is a short walk (about 5 mins) from the hotel and we pre-booked this, which is advisable.”
“We had a lovely breakfast this morning, Ness was our lovely server. Quick n very friendly service. She was fantastic We came and sat in the dog friendly bar there is also a small garden area which is dog friendly too. Ness came brought stormy the dog a treat over . “I never leave reviews and I had to for this one, everything is just 10/10. I work one Saturday a month and I treat myself and the team at work to a breakfast. The first time we were unsure we called the number on google; the customer service and advice was amazing, felt comfortable to order and weren’t made to feel stupid. When the food arrived, even better, all notes were followed, cooked to perfection and the generosity on the amount of product given is outstanding. Would recommend this to everyone, like I already have in the dealership. Absolutely smashing it guys!!!”
“Breakfast lovely and delicious as always thanks to Gabby & Eliza, the servers Chin and Veronica and Management Dan. Dinner last night yummy, Thanks to Aron, Andel & Zruf (not sure how to spell his name lol) Service great from Aron and Plato and Alice, Shout out to the whole team! Not forgetting Jenny, Patrick and Greg 10/10”
“Very nice food. Chips was cooked perfect and the pizza was the best I’ve had in a long time and I usually got to pizza hut. Will definitely be having my pizza here in the future. Thank you”
“Attended a Church conference nearby and needed a last minute room after a late finish. The staff Luke and Paul made sure I felt safe on a Sunday evening in a city I didn't know. The rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast had plenty of good options. Will recommend to those I travel with in the future.”
“In our opinion the best Indian takeaway in the area and also the best value for money. Have been regulars for a number of years now and sadly not operating at the moment due to a refurbishment. A helpful guy who answered the phone recommended Spice of Lye which was 'ok' just not the same. Hopefully it will be back open again soon.”
“Staff are lovely, so helpful and friendly in fact they are probably the best members of staff we have encountered in all the premier inn hotels so far. Food was lovely and the cocktails went down a treat. The room is clean and smelt fresh. A huge thankyou and well done Tia , Charmaine and Lorna your customer service skills are spot on .”
“I frequently order from here. Absolutely beautiful sandwiches”
“Absolutely love the coffee at LEON on Birmingham New Street — one of the best-tasting coffees I’ve had in the area! Rich, smooth, and full of flavour. Always freshly brewed. Highly recommend for any coffee lover! I especially want to give a big shoutout to staff members — AGATQ , Mark and ABAD. They are incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. Highly recommend for any coffee lover!”
“Stayed for the weekend with my wife Jan, the coppice is set in picturesque surroundings near to the buzzard valley vineyard, a good place to visit. “Afternoon Tea For 5 - Celebrating Our Moms Birthdays What can I say, blown away by the house, the food and the service. We chose champagne afternoon tea, we had veggie and meat options. Both choices were plentiful, fresh and so delicious, you will not leave hungry. We ate in the dining room with a lovely homely, relaxed atmosphere. We even chose our favourite songs to play on the speaker. We decided to eat cakes/scones in the bar area by the fire which was such a lovely treat. Cakes were fresh and so delicious. Words from our moms “This is the best Afternoon Tea I’ve ever had” Thank you for a very special day Kateshill House and all the lovely staff from Helen , Sally , Beth and our lovely moms xxxx We will definitely be back ❤️”
“Nice, comfortable room with good shower. Warm welcome and a good breakfast the following morning.”
“We recently visited Kidderminster for the weekend to experience local attractions that included the Severn Valley Railway and Wyre Forest. Bewdley Hill House is convenient for both, being only a mile’s walk from Kidderminster Station and a few miles drive from the Forest and beautiful Bewdley, nestled next to the River Severn. The B&B is in an older property, so our room was traditional in style, but clean and comfortable, with coffee, tea, water and toiletries provided. There was also a television and free WiFi. There is off road car parking and we were able to leave our car when off sightseeing. We slept well and there was a good cooked breakfast to enjoy. Our hosts were friendly and obliging, which made for a relaxed and pleasant stay.”
“Stayed at Springfield House for a local family occasion. Really good stay. Owner friendly helpful and genuinely nice. Parking good, location in centre of Coleshill. Room comfortable and quiet, all mod cons too. Breakfast excellent.”
“Stayed here for work - a well equipped place, there is a fridge and microwave, close to supermarkets, there is parking available. Thank you”
“Cheap and very cheerful, got what we paid for, comfy beds, a great shower, good brew and friendly hosts. Checked out late and they were fine with this, very accommodating. Stayed during the covid crisis so didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that”
