“I go here occasionally , I went here for scrambled egg on toast, my meal was perfect. I asked for plenty of butter , I got exactly what I asked for. I would recommend going here for a take away or an eat in meal. I've had take aways before. Fridah makes great sandwiches and the prices are great too , it's inexpensive. Fridayh will accommodate what ever you ask her for , I asked for a toasted club sandwich in the past which Fridah hadn't made before , she did it perfectly for me .Its a clean cafe , You can park outside . They are always welcoming.”

“Been a few times and the breakfast has been 10/10 every time! Customer service is amazing and the shop itself has a very homely feel to it. I got the full english with a karak chaii and I feel like its definitely worth the price. The store itself is not that big but they have used the space very well for the seating. “Attended a private function at the Gongoozler and had a fabulous time. Really friendly and hard working staff. The buffet put on was great and the drinks service was good. Nice selection of local ales available. Really lovely location on the canal edge overlooking the BCLM. Wheelchair accessible as a 96 year old relative had no trouble accessing the venue in her wheelchair. Plenty of parking with an honesty box for donations.”

“Very very good fish and chips. I have had the fish and chips 20 years ago while I was lived in town. After 20 years another visit. Same boss, same warm greeting, Same recipe, same taste, same everything as 20 years ago. Crispy chips with tasty butter wrapped. Soft fish just well cooked.”

“Attended a Church conference nearby and needed a last minute room after a late finish. The staff Luke and Paul made sure I felt safe on a Sunday evening in a city I didn't know. The rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast had plenty of good options. Will recommend to those I travel with in the future.”

“Wicked champion food. If you like Caribbean cuisine made with love then check this place out. Everytime I’m in Birmingham I stop off here and buy a few extra portions to bring back to Bristol. The curry goat is a winner (Probably up there in my top 5) and similar with stew chicken. Reasonable prices. Generous portions. Great flavours”
