βVery welcoming. Light and clean, generously sized rooms with country views. Delicious breakfast with healthy and nutritious offerings, and an added bonus of tasty freshly laid eggs in the Full English choice. I will definitely stay there again when I'm in the area.β
βGreat place to stay. Highly recommended. We stayed there as a family of 4 during our visit to the Alton Towers. We stayed in the chalet, which is a great choice for families. Lovely, very helpful owners. Delicious breakfast served into our chalet. Children have the option to get pancakes. Will definitely come back if visiting the area again.β
βA quintessentially British and cosy B&B. Breakfast was superb and the pool a nice bonus.β
βShort version: Fantastic B&B to which we'd happily return. Our hosts were exceptionally welcoming and personable and were very happy to help us out wherever they could; in my case, using the warm, dry, shed to replace a tubless bicycle tyre which had given up on the idea of retaining air inside it. The room was great and everything felt 'just so'. It's unashamedly at the more premium feeling end of the market and worth every penny of our stay there. Special mention must be made of the breakfasts which were spectacular. The continental breakfast was vast and included fruit juice, cereal, croissants, fresh fruit and toast. There is also the (additional charge) option of a Full English which is fabulous, although it may mean you don't eat very much until rather later in the day...there isn't a huge amount of plate showing between the food. Bonus points must also be awarded to the choice of putting peppercorns on the mushrooms. Pro tip 1: if you're after a cooked breakfast (and I'd urge you to at least try it once), it's a good idea to let someone know the night before so they can be prepared. Pro tip 2: Steve and Andy's local knowledge is excellent, both in terms of the eateries, but also the small roads to avoid so I'd recommend taking advantage. I did a Google check on one of them and it'd be ... interesting ... to take a car down there, especially as you're highly likely to meet a tractor coming the other way.β
βHaving stopped in the finest hotels, guest houses and bed and breakfasts before I can only describe this one as 5+ stars. From booking, to arriving, the welcome, the accommodation, and the food was all first class. The cost was very reasonable, I would have expected to pay much more given how good it was. Well done the owners!β

βLovely sandwiches. Well filled with fillings. Very fresh and very reasonable priced.β
βWeβve just arrived home from a fabulous stay here. We arrived after a long trip up from Plymouth to be met with tea and homemade cake by Mike and a room upgrade. The room was lovely and absolutely spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast next morning was absolutely fantastic and Mike gave us a lift to Nelsonβs distillery for the gin school. At the end of the day Mary came and picked us up and we went back to find the log burner in the lounge lit and had a nice few hours resting in the lounge. They had made a reservation for us in the local village pub which was superb. The breakfast this morning was wonderful again and we would highly recommend a stay here. We just need to find more reasons to come up north again! Thanks again for a fantastic weekend.β

βAnother town another premier inn , this time the room ( prem + ) was massive well furnished comfortable and super clean , Leanne greeted to me and was a great example of how staff are the hotel and greeted me with a warm smile and explained everything i needed to know even went and got me some Hot Chocolate which you donβt actually get in the rooms ! Again loaned me an Apple Watch charger as Iβd forgotten mine as I need it as I have an app to check blood sugar ! Perfect hotel and if Leanne is anything to go by the staff will all be wonderful tooβ
βGreat local friendly B&B. Rooms were clean and tidy and the staff were great. The stairs up to room 3 and 4 are quite steep and narrow in parts so avoid those rooms if that's a problem for you. Recommended place to stay.β
