“Kanu Poke Imagine eating in a work of art and tasting wonderful, exciting gastronomic delights! Welcome to Kanu Poke in Shrewsbury. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a smiling George who was one of the co owners. On commenting about the on-trend decor, he explained that the artwork was designed and painted by his partner Katie. We were a tad early but it wasn't a problem. Seated upstairs in a great window seat we really felt like we were on holiday. Surrounded by colorful murals we were hoping that the meals were going to be as good as the decor. We weren't disappointed. A pleasant server greeted us with some tasty bites and took our drinks order, when they arrived they were colourful just like the decor. The nibbles had set the tone for what was about to come. Popcorn Chikanu and Teriyaki Tofu as starters followed by the Crispy Tofu Sunflower Satay and The Mexicana. We also had a refreshing pan seared teriyaki vegetable medley. Wow, the flavours were unbelievably tasty and fresh and the service quick. What's more it's Vegan, Gluten and Nut free. It's the perfect place to eat plant based flavoursome food. What a find. Keep up the good work!”

“We were on the lookout for a spontaneous dinner and drinks spot and were pleased to stumble upon The House of the Rising Sun. From the moment we arrived, the customer service stood out—they made sure we were accommodated even though we didn’t have a reservation. Since it was a last-minute night out, we ended up seated at the high chairs, which were a bit uncomfortable, especially if you’re dressed up (like in a tight shirt dress). The interior design is impressive—stylish and atmospheric, though a little too dim for dining. It feels more like a place that’s tailored for drinks and conversation. One standout feature is the bar with its aquarium-style backsplash—absolutely eye-catching. We tried the Teriyaki Beef and Chicken Katsu. The katsu was excellent—crispy, flavorful, and definitely best enjoyed with rice. The beef, on the other hand, was slightly chewy and not as tender as expected. For drinks, we had the classic Mojito and their signature cocktail, Land of Smiles. The latter was a highlight—refreshing with a unique spicy kick that really elevated the experience. Overall, The House of the Rising Sun is a lovely spot for a date night, especially if you’re after a cozy ambiance and creative cocktails. We’d definitely go back—hopefully with a reservation next time!”

“Andy and the team were amazing when it came to the house clearance service we recently used. From the first phone call to booking and arranging to the helpful guys who were friendly and considerate when if came to completing the clearance. I would recommend the service to anyone and also pleased that a lot if the furniture etc. can be sold in the Hospice shop a very worthy cause close to our hearts.”

“We had one footstool made previously and so impressed with the quality and service that we ordered and received a couple of weeks ago a large square made to measure footstool to replace coffee table which we are thoroughly delighted with. The quality is excellent and service including delivery exactly as quoted has meant dealing with A Little Furniture Shop ( family business) was a real pleasure. Highly recommended.”

“I have been buying pizza from Al Piccolino since the 80s when I was a small child, it was a treat then and still is. I don’t live in Shrewsbury anymore, but I make a point of ordering from here whenever I’m in town and I am yet to be disappointed. A true Shrewsbury institution, I absolutely love this place. Thanks for all the great pizzas over the years.”

“Brilliant, I used to be with the one by the doctors in Wem, but after numerous altercations with the staff there, who were very rude and most of the time did not have my medication that I had asked for on an emergency in the pod. So I spoke to a lady at this pharmacy, the Rowlands pharmacy lusher when about changing my prescriptions to them. She said yes, not a problem. I explained the experiences I was having with the other pharmacy which was a Rowlands as well. When I next rang for my prescription which have got some high medicated drugs on there that I need, I rang the pod and changed it to this pharmacy. Since being with this pharmacy. I have never had a problem whatsoever my prescriptions have been hanging on the rail waiting for me and the staff are really nice and pleasant. There was only two members of staff at the other pharmacy that were rude. One was a lady that has left, the other is a man who is still there. He works in the background. He is very rude, but I cannot thank this pharmacy enough for being so helpful and like a proper pharmacy should be thank you so much.”
