   Brilliant every time. Kajiya is a real gem. Everything on the menu is genuinely delicious, and the fried rice is as good as it gets. DK is a gent and always makes you feel welcome. I’ve been with friends and family of all ages and it’s consistently excellent. I’m almost reluctant to leave this review in case too many people find out about it… but it’s too good not to share. A great restaurant and a pleasure to support.

   I was extremely pleased with my experience at this restaurant — everything from the flavors to the service exceeded expectations. The food was amazing: each dish was beautifully balanced, full of bright, complex flavors, and presented with care. What set the visit apart was the cooking itself — the chef’s techniques and table-side preparations were fascinating and genuinely entertaining, turning the meal into a memorable show as well as a feast. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, the atmosphere comfortable and lively, and I left already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended.

   8 seats, that's it! If you truly want an intimate dining experience with the additional beauty of watching your food being prepared in front of you this is the place to go. You are catered to by a wonderful host/chef. The space is cosy, clean and the atmosphere is relaxed. On top of that the food is exquisite. I highly recommend the scallops. We will be going again very soon x

   Fantastic little restaurant (I reckon it only seats 10 people at the most). Host/chef was very welcoming. There was only myself and my partner in the night we went, but he made us very comfortable and the service was excellent. The quality of the food was fantastic. I'd highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking to go somewhere away from the big chains. A real hidden gem.

   What an amazing little restaurant; hidden away on North Church Street but well worth seeking out! We arrived for lunch service shortly after opening and were greeted by the chef & owner. During the cooking and our meal we conversed with the chef about the food, cooking process, and the traditions of this kind of restaurant. All the food was beautifully cooked right before our eyes and served piping hot. You're meant to eat as the chef cooks for you, rather than waiting for a meal to be complete. This is a nice departure from traditional Western practice. We'll be back here without a doubt to try some other items from the menu.

   A fantastic spot for both lunch and dinner in the city centre, hosting traditional Japanese cuisine. The food and service is impeccable with a variety of options for all diners (vegetarian options also available), highly recommend the Hibachi Prawn or Salmon. There's nothing better than seeing fresh ingredients being cooked right in front of you! Thank you very much for a special lunch, will definitely be back soon!
