The food was fantastic! We went for the tasting menu and we got so much food for such a great price. The atmosphere was vibrant and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

I went for dinner to try the tasting menu and the service was 10/10 with servers refilling our water almost as soon as we ran out and they asked us if we would like a top up of ginger after we ran out as well, the courses came out almost immediately after we finished the last and they cleared our dishes as soon as they were finished. The food was so tasty- I’d highly recommend Teriyaki chicken as a main because the sauce was delicious. Also my first time trying a few things like chicken gyoza and Mochi. They were both so so good! The atmosphere was so lovely, the restaurant wasn’t busy so we could hear ourselves talking. It would be a great place to go eat alone as-well because it is so quiet in there. They also do take-aways which we noticed while we were eating. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely go back again.

One of the best restaurants I've had the pleasure of visiting. We went for the £20 set for two, and it was such an incredible deal for the quality and amount of food. Everything tasted unreal; the miso soup was full of flavor, and the appetizers were all hits (especially the ebi fry and spring rolls). For mains, the chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu were probably the best I've ever had. Every bite was delicious, and the portions were really generous for the price. They are also considerate of any food allergies/intolerances you may have. Would 100% recommend to anyone who loves Japanese food

Great food with reasonable price. Friendly and polite staff too. I couldn’t give a 5 star as the waiting time has been a bit too long

Really super good value for sushi. Lunch menu offer in Aug and weekend. Great service refillable green tea for £1.90. Chicken ball is a satay stick very good, soya sauce is great too, staff told me is homemade. Been here a few times. Never disappointed.

Excellent food and service received tonight, especially from the waitress with bleached blonde sort hair. Both waitresses was worked off their feet but nothing was too much Food was outstanding and great value for money We ordered the target menu for 6 , and wow!!! Ignore the negative reviews, when a place is so busy you expect slower service. We enjoyed our 3hour *slow* meal and had time to suggest between courses Highly recommend

Visited here for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant was fairly empty but it was probably because we were having a late lunch. We were sat at the window seat which actually became unbearably hot toward the end of the meal so avoid sitting here if you can! The service and food were excellent. We were a little disappointed that they’ve stopped doing their hotpot since the pandemic but the tasting menu they’ve replaced the previous “all you can eat” with was excellent value for money. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Amazing. The service was great the size of the sushi rolls were bigger than I have ever seen. This is not talk about extra rice. They overall were larger. Eaten sushi in San Francisco, Sydney, New York, and Seattle. Plus some I forget and the quality was amazing for the price. Never thought I would find anything like this in Scotland!

Had a great meal at Yes Sushi, originally popped out for a quick meal but decided to go for the tasting menu, and glad we did. Do make sure you're hungry if you choose this though, there's a lot of food and it's all delicious. We had only done takeaways from here before so it was nice to come in and get the full experience. Staff were friendly and helpful with explaining dishes we didn't know. Incredibly good value and great flavours in all the dishes. (we couldn't finish course 7, the rolls - duck, prawn tempura and Tokyo) and they kindly boxed them up - had them the next day & they tasted good.

Amazing 'hidden gem' of a restaurant. Had the 8 course taster menu, which was fantastic. Portions were big and the quality of the food was top drawer. Service was also excellent. Will definitely dine here again when next in Edinburgh. Cannot rate this place highly enough!
