Had the coated chicken ( think KFC) chips and curry sauce ( the usual chip shop sauce not the Chinese 1 they serve ) The chicken was some of the best id tasted in years for being cooked to perfection The chips was lovely and golden ( not McDonald's yellow thankfully ) The curry sauce was milder than I like it but still nice Will go again
The best restaurant in all of England. The staff is excellent and super welcoming. The owner is super kind, a man to be respected. The food is excellent and the prices aren't too high. Trust me, you have to go there at least once in your life.
I'm a pensioner and I only wanted a piece of chicken. When the lovely owner asked me if I wanted chips I said no thank you, but he said you have to have chips with it and gave me a scoop of chips with no extra charge. What a great chippy all the staff are great
Judging by the queue going out the door I’d say that this is a popular chippy, the smell was amazing inside the shop! The shop is clean and well presented with loads of food ready to go. I had chips, saveloy sausage and curry sauce. All was very tasty, but I do like my chips crispier, which probably means hotter oil. But they did taste great so I’m just being fussy. The guy serving was very pleasant and made sure I had all that I needed.
Avoid this chip bar at all costs . Used you be nice it’s pathetic now . Regular chips £2.70 should have counted the chips , literally smallest portion even just over a handful the teenage girl just flashing her false eye brows !!!! I tell you what forget it we’re going elsewhere In future and judging by reviews will tell everyone to do the same !!!!
JUST CLOSED FOR GOOD I BELIEVE. LET'S HOPE THE FORMER HSBC BANK WHEN IN OPENS AS A SIT DOWN FISH AND CHIP RESTAURANT IS BETTER CAN'T BE MUCH WORSE
Cod and chips ok but not brilliant only tried it once water Orton fish and chip shop has always been better.
Far better than water orton chippy. Better food. Better prices. Friendly staff.
Mum came home with some chips for me but sadly I informed her that when I asked you years ago you said they were cooked in the same oil as the battered fish and therefore not vegetarian or vegan.
