Food is always hit and miss and last few times I’ve entered the store it’s been freezing like a freezer. Wouldn’t advise anyone to eat in. Employees are very rude as they seem to think they are doing the the customers a favour when we used to spend a fortune in there
Messed the whole order up. I asked for one peri fries and one plain. The lady gave me 2 peri peri. I paid for 5 garlic mayo and didn’t even get that.I am very disappointed in this Pepes branch, I won’t be coming back ever again. Some of the staff in there today can’t even speak properly. I asked the lady twice if she had put the right order in the bag and she said yes everything is in there. The chicken was so dry. Absolutely vile.
I ordered some food at around 5 on Monday, and requested the chicken not to be burnt as it usually is and also asked for the delivery to not take too long because usually my wait time is nearly 2 hours. My order immediately got cancelled so when I called, some guy who sounded like he was in his 20s started speaking rudely on behalf of the delivery driver notes? So I asked “are you the delivery driver?” And he said “no I work at the restaurant” if the delivery driver has an issue he can just call me no problem there is no reason for ‘you’ to cancel my order. then he changed the topic to the order notes saying how “thats not his problem” etc. so I asked why he is being rude and he kept refusing. Terrible attitude and customer service with 0 accountability and no manners. Speaking kindly is not going hurt you and for the sake of everyone else I hope the owner deals with you
Absolutely disgusting place, I will never order from here again, the worst Pepe’s in Birmingham! The staff have no etiquette, barking down the phone when they do decide to answer, absolute disgrace. Management really need to step up, this has been a trend with the type of fools they employ. Allowing staff to ruin your business name and reputation, bringing the whole franchise into disrepute.
I ordered on phone at 19:24 and they said I’ll get my food b/w 45-60 mins but I got the food at 21:21 that’s an hour late. I, also asked for cutlery, ranch sauce, chilli sauce and extra tissues but never got these things, however, they charges for everything. The food was cold and when we called the restaurant they said don’t call us again. Very disappointed with this franchise and never recommend anyone to order online or on phone from this franchise. Note - no cutlery, no sauces, late delivery, the staff said not to call back again.
I have had takeout food from this restaurant many times. I must say over the last 6 months the food standard has gone down substantially. Chicken is over cooked / burnt and the food is always cold. I have always given them the benefit of the doubt. On this occasion I feel leaving a review is justifiable based on multiple orders for delivery, collection and eat in. Most recently I decided to dine in the restaurant to actually see if the food was fresh. This was a unpleasant experience as we ordered 4 items and all food was cold including the chicken and the bun was rock hard. We waited patiently for 25 minutes for an eat in order thinking the food would be fresh but it was the total opposite. I noticed more chit chat between the staff and less work going on. Overall the food standard has heavily dropped since this establishment first opened. I am really disappointed as I have given them multiple opportunities to rectify but it seems to get worse as time goes on and I am sure I am not the only one. I advise the owner to look into this immediately in regards to mainly the food standard and also train staff on simple customer service skills as it appears some staff look like they don’t want to be there otherwise you will be losing a lot of customers.
Waited 20 mins for food, was told the food would be another 5-10 mins...when i raised how this was unacceptable was then told the minimum wait for food is 20 minutes. People who had ordered after us had their order given to them. Felt ignored and wouldnt recommend coming to this branch of pepes. Ordered the food at 6.45pm. Officially got the food at 7.24pm. Restaurants cook whole meals faster than this branch of Pepe's. Maybe they should have more staff if they can't handle the demand.
Absolutely disgusting service. I serious wouldn't bother with this place if I were you. They make mistakes, don't send out the correct orders and then give you a mouth full when you complain. Food is sub standard at best and the customer service is non existent
I give them only 3stars because of the garlic sauce that is missing from those small containers. Someone has to sort that sauce out because it’s ridiculous. I am a big fan of the 28 wings we have them probably every weekend and the garlic sauce it’s a must. I wouldn’t have a problem if the sauce was free, but as long as they are charging me 50p for a small container of sauce and it says 40ml on it and if you measure it, it has 15ml with the plastic thing included. It’s ridiculous. Sort it out!
Chicken xl burger was cold, fries were cold, I did not buy it on any of the apps bought it from the shop, fish burger was burnt wish I took a photo to share on here, shops gone down hill. Never again I’d avoid it unless you want cold and over fried food.
