The Rajput, on entry, very welcoming, we sat down, awaiting the restof our party. The waiters, at first, although not smiling, also felt quite welcoming but that started to change. Before all of our party were present, we were being asked for our orders. We did advise, we weren't all present. I understand that it was the last weekend before Christmas but the attitude of the staff wasn't the best. You finish one course, the next arrives. The desert menu was given to us once we'd finish our main courses and then it was removed and the bill presented, we didn't even have chance to order a desert or coffee. On a positive the food was lovely, it was just the nature of how the staff were operating. Felt like we were in a cattle market. Shan't be eating here again.......

Popadmons £0.70, the sauces they bring out with them £2.00, next time I would ask for only the mint sauce as that's the only one we ate. I would also say the popadoms were stale. Food though was delicious, would 100% eat here again, I had a Chicken Chalsi which is a very sweet curry and my aunt had the Dalcha which was lentil based and lots of coriander which she adored. You buy rice separately, I would suggest if you are a pair to have one rice and one bread to share. The staff were very nice and let us move when we complained of a flickering light above our heads that was bothering us quite a bit. The dress of the staff confused me a bit one man was dressed beautifully in a waistcoat and white shirts others in black shirts, some mismatched ties, and still someone in a striped white and blue shirt. It was a very busy Saturday night and they were struggling a bit, we had to ask for water twice, then again twice for glasses to drink from - my aunt with me said they are not usually so disorganised so perhaps this is a one off. Clearly the place is extremely popular it is well decorated and welcoming if quite echoey when there are lots of people! Popular with couples, work groups as well as families too.

Can’t wait for Fridays nights to visit this lovely restaurant. Always take family and friends. Absolutely lovely food. So look forward to our Friday nights at Rajputs, so relaxing after a hard week. Service is always quick and efficient they are happy to help. Abdul is always welcoming and his attention to detail is amazing, especially when it comes to looking after specific allergies. We requested curry suitable for a coeliac, also allergic to egg. Abdul was amazing, he understood about the importance of cross contamination and gluten free. He personally looked after us all night ensuring we had a very enjoyable evening knowing that the food we’d eaten was safe for coeliacs. Would definitely return and recommend this restaurant.

Friday night was curry night with seven friends, and we hit up Rajput in Boldmere – a place I’d thankfully booked in advance! They even sent a super friendly reminder to confirm our numbers, which was a nice touch. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing, a perfect backdrop for a relaxed yet lively gathering. Our server was a true gem – incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the food. They guided us through the menu, recommending a fantastic selection of dishes that our entire group devoured with gusto. The sharing platters for starters were a stroke of genius; a delicious way to kick things off and sample a bit of everything. Now, here's a brilliant perk: Rajput operates a bring-your-own-booze policy! No inflated restaurant drink prices here, and even better, they provide all the glasses you need. It's thoughtful touches like these that really elevate the experience. Honestly, the entire team at Rajput is amazing. They were attentive without being intrusive, accommodating to every request, and just generally made us feel incredibly welcome. I can't recommend Rajput highly enough. It's easily one of the best curry houses in Sutton Coldfield, and trust me, I've already booked our next gathering there! If you're looking for fantastic food, a great vibe, and top-notch service, this is your spot.

Ali the manager and Abdul the waiter were excellent in their manner as we're the other staff. Excellent decor befitting of a 5 star establishment in the city centre. Excellent choice on the menu. Good prices and portions. Loved the food. I had lamb chops and chicken shashik. Super with garlic nan. I will be back. My wife and daughter loved the atmosphere. Bring your own drink. Win, win. See you soon Rajput.

Our group of 4 have been to Rajput several times, we love the food and atmosphere. Sadly, after last night's experience, we won't be dining there again. We booked a table for 8.30pm but had to call at 8.20pm to say we would be late, would it still be OK to come a little later? We were told 'Of course' and were welcomed into a booth. We ordered popadoms straight away. A lovely waiter came over to see if we were ready to order. We asked for 5 more minutes. A minute later, another waiter cam over and asked. We asked for a couple of minutes as someone had just been over. Another waiter came over and asked if we were ready to order. We gave our order and he tried to explain that the manager wanted orders early on, we could delay our orders if we wanted. We said we didn't want to delay, we'd not long come in and did order poppadoms (and barely eaten 1). He bent down and said to us 'You can go to any curry house up and down here (Boldmere) but if you are naughty with us, we'll be naughty with you.' We asked what he meant and he explained that we 'shouldn't be naughty.' Initially, we didn't say anything back but it certainly made us uneasy. Simply wasn't necessary. Numerous people came in after us, ordered later and stayed later. We weren't loud. No idea what we did to warrant such a comment. We did speak to the manager who told us there was due to a language barrier. Nope, pretty clear.

Would give it 0 stars if I could. I don’t normally leave reviews but this place had Absolutely awful service. Went there for a meal on a Saturday night and had booked the table prior. Arrived at the restaurant and was told there were no tables even though we had booked. Two other groups of 5 people had been turned away aswell also with bookings with one booking 2 weeks before. Instead we were all told a table could be given to us at Karma Lounge. Which isn’t what we wanted. When asking why a table wasn’t available we were told it was because everyone had booked. Why take bookings if you haven’t got the space to serve people. The 20minutes we waited for a table nearly no food came out of the kitchen. A couple was forced out of their table once finished to make room. Absolutely disgusting. Do not eat here if you want a table. Awful service. Only looking for £££. We were only given a sorry and nothing else. Completely ruined our night. Really shows how money oriented the place is and doesn’t care for any of their customers if they are willing to over book. Just want to get you in and out as quick as possible. Wouldn’t be surprised if they started bringing out stools to fit people in just to get the extra ££.

Had a really great meal here on Saturday evening. The staff were attentive and friendly with a professional service, there was nothing that was too much trouble. It's the type of restaurant you want to go to for a family get together, there was 10 of us in our party and the food came out in a timely manner and was all hot not warm. Highly recommend this restaurant.

A good addition to Sutton's curry corridor. Spacious with good decor. Service was to a good standard as was the food. On the evening of our visit only two booths were occupied (10 guests) and the noise was deafening.
