Ate here on Friday night with a couple friends. Never been here before but would absolutely go back. Food was amazing, staff super friendly and chatty, and very well priced. Tricky to stumble across this place as it’s up a side street but if you’re after a curry, this place is spot on!
Food was very good. Had the Railway Lamb Curry which was very flavourful and the lamb was not chewy at all. The service is also very good. The staff are friendly, funny and not over bearing at all. The atmosphere isn’t loud everything is subtle and allows for good conversations to be had at the table without any interruptions that are not necessary. Best Indian restaurant I have been to in a long time and will continue to come here. Only thing that can be said is parking, however most places on the Harborne High street could have the same said for them as it is a very busy and popular area.
Gave this a try while staying locally on business. Nice place, very friendly reception. Chose a salmon starter - nicely prepared but a little overdone- delighted to see Keema Peas on the menu so I had to have it. A huge plate! Lovely. A wonderful gesture at the end was an on-the-house Baileys, I mean genuine Baileys not the Aldi fake usually offered!
Hospitality is second to none. These people go over and above to ensure you have a good experience here! The food is outstanding tasty, authentic and rich. What a wonderful night we've had here. Lovely friendly staff and fantastic food is outstanding!! 100% to the chef.
I would never recommend it as an Indian restaurant; the chicken kurma that we got was completely sweet; there was no other flavour in it. The ambiance of the restaurant is good , but the food there is not up to par. We had to wait nearly 30 minutes to get our food served.
It was AMAZING!! I’m from London I’ve been here before with my sister and I was so impressed before that we said we’ll definitely be back. Brought my mum this time and it was yet again EXCELLENT!! Great atmosphere and customer service from the lovely Rabz. My mum said she planning on bringing my dad. The lamb chops and korma chicken is divine!! I would definitely recommend here to friends and family.
This is an absolute delight! The favour, spices and the service! Harborne Tandoori Restaurant is a gold mine! We came here back at the end of September and came back today because it is just that good! We had the lamb chops (undoubtedly the best ever tasted, well seasoned to the bone!), the chicken korma, the butter chicken (both creamy with pilau rice, peshwari naan, chapati, garlic naan and bhindi bhaji - all fantastic!!! This will be a regular place to visit when we just want some good soul food at excellent prices! Rabz's customer service goes above and beyond! Even though there were others in the restaurant, he makes you feel like you the only ones in the restaurant, complete attention! Make this a visit and a regular spot for you and your love ones!
Very tasty indeed, I had: poppadoms, lamb tikka, aloo bombay, and mushroom rice. Dishes or similar I have eaten many many times before and in many different places. What made this special and 5 stars was the mix of spices in the onions, the depth of flavour in the lamb and spiced potatoes. Very very good. Popadoms were normal, but then they came with 6 different toppings. The boss was very friendly and helpful. All good. Thanks.
