We sampled the festive menu (3 courses) and wasn't disappointed. Between us we ordered drinks, plus: *Gambas al pil pil (king prawns in chilli and garlic oil with toasted sour dough bread) x2 *Pan roasted turkey escalope *Blade of beef *Apple, fig & ginger crumble *Melting chocolate fondant. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly! Ego is tastefully decorated and a very warm and welcoming restaurant and bar. The bar and wait staff were friendly, professional and helpful. I will definitely return and would recommend to others. My only suggestion would be to not have such loud musicians playing. When we went the was a very talented saxophone player, however he was incredibly loud (i appreciate saxophones are!). Luckily we weren't sat directly next to him but others were. I can imagine that for some it would be difficult to hear conversations at the table or could get a bit much. This was a shame because he was good and its nice to have live music in a restaurant.

A lovely meal to celebrate my wife's birthday. My wife said it was the best meal out she had had in years. Will definitely be back.

Attended for Bottomless brunch, food was really good, tasty and hot. Drinks were good, plenty of choice, good value for money. Waitresses very attentive. The only criticism i have is the music stopped at 5, would have been nice to have throughout the whole of the brunch. But still had a good time and nice surroundings. Thank you

Excellent quality food and good value as I ordered from the Prix Fixe menu. I recommend the Gambas Al Pil Pil. Delicious dish.

Called in for a late lunch and not that busy, had a lovely lunch from the fixed price 3 course menu. Served by the wonderful Emma that looked after us and was able to recommend from the menu and engaged in conversation nicely. Pleasantly surprised and would recommend to others, we will definitely drop by again. Well done and thanks Emma

First time visiting, staff friendly, lovely atmosphere, clean, comfortable and plenty of space between tables, starters and meat were all good, potatoes were dry the roasties and mash on different meals which was a shame, but aside from that everything else was nice and we would visit again

Very delicious food. Portions of food on a smaller side, so you can easily fit in a starter and a dessert. Prices a bit high especially for the size of the meal, but the way it tastes makes it worth it. Really tasty food. Waiter service very good in general. Place was clean so I need to be fair and give some stars for this. What was very disappointing though after we booked a table (and booking was for 2h 15 min I believe) they just brought us a bill to the table and asked how we’re paying. And we were still ordering things (so already spent a small fortune there) and planning on ordering more and we were behaving pretty quietly, dresses properly too etc so can’t see the reason for why we were treated as if they wanted us to just leave. If the restaurant was full and table needed then fair enough, but MOST of tables were empty and it was still a couple of hours before they were closing, so absolutely no reason for that. I will see if I come back cos food was worth the money but this whole bringing us a bill felt rude and ruined the experience a lot. Never had that in any other restaurant ever and I would feel a bit weird spending any more money at a place that finds treating customers like as something okay to do. But as they were not bothered about us spending any more money there in the first place I guess us not coming back doesn’t make a difference to them.

They say picture says a thousand word’s Great food, price is average to high. The extension can be too cold or hot depending on weather, on my last visit I had to wear sunglasses. Think I would prefer inside next time.

The potatoes must have been cooked yesterday The beef was not pink and was very chewy my chicken cold so-called cauliflower cheese where was the cheese sauce.

Went here for meal with 2 friends last week, we all had the 3 course meal and it was great! The food was beautiful, price was really competitive and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Will definitely be returning again. Thanks :)
