I ordered the Singapore noodles and was very impressed. The flavors were balanced and authentic, and the portion size was generous, making it excellent value for money.
Ordered Crispy shredded beef, which was literally all hard batter. I struggled to find any beef, not only in the taste, but within the texture. It was definitely all warmed up from an old portion. Also ordered a portion of Young Chow fried rice. All fried rice when freshly fried is golden in colour and not the extremely deep brown that we received. It’s easy to see in the picture that this is definitely not freshly fried. The colour is a massive indicator that this was fried rice that has been warmed up numerous times. Hardly any meat or prawns in the rice, but there was plenty of peas. However, at these prices peas just don’t cut it as a substitute for chicken, prawns or pork, all of which I would expect to see in any good version of Young Chow fried rice. My daughter had a couple of other dishes from this takeaway, which were also very disappointing, and it’s not worth the time to explain how poorly executed they also were. Overall, an unpleasant, and expensive experience from this Chinese takeaway which we shall not be repeating. It always flabbergasts, and annoys me that establishments are unable to provide a satisfactory product. It’s not as if I’m asking them to do something that they’re not used to doing, surely it’s not that difficult to make fresh goods using minimal ingredients quickly. But unfortunately this takeaway is not alone in providing sub standard quality food.

We have ordered from here for the last 5+ years although the woman is quite rude we love the food, but the last two weeks she has got the order wrong and tonight said we didn’t order prawn toast and we ordered prawn crackers, we have never ordered prawn crackers ever as we always get them free with our big order! We have been charged for them and she wouldn’t acknowledge that, her customer service is 0 she has lost a good customer !! You have replied with saying you have CCTV !!! How is this then when we have had it delivered ?? You could of simply resolved this for an outstanding customer with giving them the correct order but instead you have tried slating them and now there business in google , really you have never even used our business and because we have given you this review which was completely correct you have given a false review in ours, really sad to be far, to treat a really good customer in this manner !!!
Expecting around a 30 minute wait for my delivery but arrived in 20. Delivery guy was friendly and polite. Lady on phone took my order quickly,politely and accurately. Quite a while since ive ordered from here and she seems to have mellowed in that time. Now employs a calmer,friendlier and softer sounding tone of voice. Ordered special curry & chips. It was all very tasty even the chips. Curry sauce was a nice spicyness,consistancy and taste. Well packed with chicken,chinese pork and a few king prawns. Also a nice amount of onions and peas included. Only one thing i didn't like my extra portion of bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. Totally my own fault though because i had actually meant to order beansprouts which i love and not the bamboo shoots. So all in all very nice food and decent(ish) price. Would gladly recommend and i'll be ordering from Canton Chef again in the near future. Gave the 5star rating because it was my fault i did'nt like the B.S's & W.C's because like i say i stupidly ordered the wrong items.
Disappointed is an understatement..... We have used this take away for a number of years, but due to being unable to contact them at certain times where it appears the phone is of the hook, or very busy ( one time 78 times within the hour ) we decided to stop using them. On the off chance, used them last night. Again i'm sorry to say the food was very bland, either they didn't use any seasoning or MSG, but it was not very flavoursome. Add to that some tummy troubles for the wife and i this morning and into the afternoon. It's fair to say we won't be using them again.
My favourite Chinese, never had a bad meal yet. Always red hot when I get it home or delivered.
