   Came here for their Christmas Day 3 course lunch and I have to say it was well worth it. The pub was decorated lovely for Christmas and the staff worked so hard on that day, they couldn't do enough for you and all with a smile and positive attitude. The food was lovely, we had the Christmas carvery which was very nice and my son really enjoyed the kids 3 course meal. Will definitely be back again!

   Went yesterday for a carvery lunch. I had gammon and beef - and the meat, as well as all the trimmings, were delicious. I’m gluten free and the team were really helpful, giving me a separate jug of gluten free gravy. There was a really nice atmosphere in the pub and all the staff were really friendly. I would definitely recommend.

   Our second and last visit.. on our first visit we thought food and service were excellent, however yesterday we had 2 gammon, egg and chips, eggs were rock hard, we also had 2 carvery baps, they were also hard and unlike last time when we had nice thick slices of hot meat yesterday it was cold and my turkey was all scrapy bits. No one came to ask if everything was OK as they did on our last visit so we were very disappointed and won't be returning. On a positive note, the chips were nice.

   Food was perfect! I had gammon and beef today and I asked for extra fat - yummy! Plates were hot and gravy was gavylicious. My third time here and I much prefer this carvery to many others.

   Attended on a Sunday evening after picking up family from the airport. Not a lot open on a Sunday evening but Gildersome Arms was which we were greateful for! We arrived late on a Sunday evening around 8pm. There was 4 of us and a 6 week old baby. Just to give you an idea of the size of the order at such a late time on a Sunday before the kitchen closed. The chef noticed us looking at the menus and notified us that the kitchen closes at 8.30pm if you want to order. That was a nice touch. The food arrived as you'd expect. Tasty, looked well presented on the plate and tasted great. I ordered at the bar as apposed to via the app, just a nice change on a quiet Sunday evening. The colleague behind the bar offered to help carry the drinks and glasses over to the table which was great service. I've always wanted to attend and I have. I will be back.

   1st time I've ever been here. Got a table quite quickly. I ordered food and drinks on the Green King app. The drinks arrived promptly. The food arrived and the meals were good. Definitely come back here again. My meal was a Hunters Chicken with ribs.

   Not really a review, just a suggestion! If the meal is going to take an hour. Say so! Not say 20 minutes. We waited a minute short of an hour! We’d of left but had hungry children with us. Also!! It’s idiotic to put a child’s meal on a VERY hot plate. Yes the server said mind the plate it’s hot, but 4 year olds are very quick and he hurt himself. Luckily not severely. The food as usual was mediocre, though not overly expensive. The place is grubby too. Needs a deep clean. On the whole doubt we’ll go again.

   Had festive menu and one of the family had the vegan menu. Starter, carvery and desert were truly poor. The vegan pie with carvery seriously tasted and smelt rancid and could not be eaten and spoiled everything on the plate. No apology or discount given, the manager agreed how awful it was and laughed it off. Someone was being sick in the toilets and I wouldn't be surprised after some of the food that was served.

   Great pub/restaurant. Staff 100% Food100% Drinks 100% Car parking 100% Could not fault it in any way. The staff were all very friendly and attentive.Finding jobs to do when there was a moments quiet spell on their section Great teamwork. Will be calling in again to try more on the menu.
