The staff were friendly and helpful. The place is clean and looks good. It’s sat with great views along the canal. Comfortable chairs, good drinks. Awful food. Badly prepared. Go along but don’t eat there.

Making my second ever visit. Madge loves looking over the canal basin where multiple narrow boats are moored. A Greene King pub. We stopped for food. Pretty good. Madge liked her bangers and mash. I had a pint of their house bitter.

Food was awful, crispy chicken burger was incredibly dry strips of chicken that seemed like left ivers in an incredibly dry burger bun. Avoid at all costs!

Went for a birthday meal, having waited over an hour for the food, we were very disappointed, chips not cooked properly on all four meals, three pies like bricks, one wrap with the smallest amount of chicken in it. Terrible food, not our first bad experience, but it will be our last.

Table 5 has the best view in the pub across the canal. Lovely inside. Ordered some pale ale which was lovely, plus some chips which had been cooked 3 or 4 times over. Lovely atmosphere. Popped back in March 2024. Busy Easter weekend. Food okay. Good selection of drinks.

Visited for Sunday afternoon meal which is normally good value. However on this visit the waitress was indifferent and unwelcoming. Took our meal to wrong table having obviously not looked at the table number. We were able to attract her attention and the meal was brought to us. A word of apology or a little humour would have been appreciated. But no such effort was made by the young woman.

A really nice lunchtime dining experience. Tasty meal, cooked to perfection, piping hot, generous portion size, very friendly service & a reasonable price. Had a nice table, by a window looking out onto the canal & canal boats. Definitely recommend a visit if in the area.

Amazing setting this pub is down on the canal side with stunning views over the canal boats moored up and the old mill buildings all around. The pub has a great atmosphere inside. Typical pub menu food wise. More stodgy selection than healthy. But a great place with good surroundings and friendly helpful staff.

First time at Moorings. First impressions - nice set up,very cosy. The available to watch Sport. Drinks - Old mout Cider served with Berries nice presentation Corona on Draught - quite disappointed with...served flat not the best. Food - as you can see on the pictures nice presentation...tub full of variety of sauces. Starter - Garlic Mushroom nice but not the best I've had Sauce quite sweet bit glumpy. Mains - Steak Fajitas... Good quality meat spice of peppers & Onions very nice. Lasagne quite dry...tasted like it might of been microwaved bit to long. OK taste. £1 extra for scoop of Chips. Staff - lady behind the bar quite abrupt. Felt like she was rushing me for my order and just very forward. Not the best Customer service. Man behind the bar quite polite, felt like he might of been the owner or manager as he was cleaning tables and making sure everything was OK. Very nice bathrooms very well looked after. In total 3* Would go again.
