   Ordered a takeaway for collection on 3/10/2025 I asked for garlic chilli chicken masala, pilau rice and Peshawari naan. When I got home and opened it up to serve, the garlic chilli chicken masala was very watery and resembled more a chicken broth! Didn’t taste of garlic or chilli or masala. The rice basically soaked up all the water so there was no sauce to mop up with my naan. I’ve been here a few times mainly for convenience but never been completely overwhelmed by it. You know that feeling when you’ve had a busy Friday at work and late finish and just fancy a good curry but then you’re left completely disappointed??! Based on this most recent experience we will not go here again.

   Disappointed with this experience. Watery, bland curry with tiny pieces of lamb. Chips were cold and onion bhajis undercooked and stale in the centre. Large naan but the keema meat inside it tasted cheap.

   On holiday, stumbled across Indian Ocean. Excellent Service, very friendly. Food was amazing, lamb was beautiful and soft with peppers tomatoes and onions, a dish recommended by a member of staff. Daughter enjoyed her korma and husband sizzling chicken dish. Probably the best Indian we've had. Lovely and clean restaurant, would visit again.

   Food was OK I guess, had better, had worse. The chicken portions were large in the dishes, but the sauce was a bit watery. Waited nearly 2 hours from placing the order to having the food delivered. Still think this place is the benchmark for the Makhani, but I have had better ones from The Indian Ocean before, which is disappointing.

   Ordered delivery when it arrived one meal wrong when phoned said they will send another meal by time it arrived everything else was cold nan bread was like a crisp don't think I'll be going there again

   Absolutely shocking delivery service. Waited a good hour for it and food arrived cold. Definitely won’t be using again it’s not the first time it’s happened.

   I've got takeaway from here a few times and it's always so so sooooooooo tasty. The peshwari naan is so doughy and delicious, the onion bhaji dipped in the minty yogurt pots they give you is fantastic, and the CURRY. Oh my god I love the curries. I usually go for a prawn dish and it's always exactly what I wanted. The sauce is always so rich and full of flavour. I can't vouch for the other meat dishes but the prawn ones are great. My parents look forward to coming to stay because they can get a takeaway from Indian Ocean. 10/10.

   Ordered a delivery through the app, arrived quicker than expected everything was as Ordered. Three very happy customers will certainly be ordering from here again only dilemma will be what to have.. Edit We have ordered again since, once a month as a treat, very happy with it after trying out lots of Indian takeaways since we moved to York this is our go to. Vert happy customers. The onion Bajis are amazing!
