Good delicious food , extensive menu.Service friendly and attentive, music like being in a lift but not a serious complaint
Really delicious food! It seemed like the chicken chatt was served with a chapati rather than a puri, which was odd but tasty nonetheless! It was cash only which was a little annoying as people were having to go back out for cash once seated. The surroundings are lovely, although it was a title quiet when we were here. Staff very polite and attentive. Service charge automatically added, which was fine by us, but may be awkward asking to remove it if you don't want to pay.
Visited York for the day and stopped in without a reservation. Hosts were wonderful, seated us straight away and could not have been more attentive and polite. Chairs are super comfy and the atmosphere is perfect; soft lighting but not dark, relaxing background music. Food and drink was excellent, can't fault any of it. Was a little pricey (about £10/£15 more than were used to paying for that amount of food), but given the location and service we received happy to pay it. Will definitely return if we visit York again.
Food was great but INSANELY expensive I ate by myself as I’m here for work but I can’t help but think I was purposely overcharged. £38 is ridiculous for one person, I am from Birmingham and the most expensive restaurants would do what I got for about £20 maximum.
every delicious test. It was like real Asian tests and add very perfect spices. we love it and every should try one in a Life. i was a just tourist but if i visit again to York definitely i will take my dinner in this restaurant. Thank you to the staff for your excellent service..
Wish I had read the reviews before went here. They are all true. Been to York many times had many wonderful Indian meals but this was awful! Cost £48 feel like I have been robbed. They asked if all was ok I just said yes as there was no point getting into it. Tasteless expensive and No atmosphere.
I looked at the reviews for this restaurant as me and my wife sat down to eat here and I saw it had quite a few negative reviews and I in no way cast any doubt over those reviews. If those people had bad service they should highlight it as they did. I can only speak about mine and my wife's experience eating here and it was brilliant. We walked in without a reservation, were seated straight away by a lovely waiter and served lovely food at decent prices. Overall a brilliant experience and we would definitely eat here again.
Very poor standard of curries, service, and expensive. On top of that there is no restaurant atmosphere and a service charge does not warrant the taste and presentation of the food. Very basic. Avoid.
It was a nice experience. We had mixed kebab for starter, chicken balti, garlic naan, and murg biryani. Altogether cost £50 with 2 beers. It was a bit pricey, but it was worth it. The chicken balti was so garlicky, you wouldn't smell so good in the morning.
