Believe the good reviews, this is an excellent restaurant serving really great food. The decor and presentation of the restaurant itself is attractive, the greeting was genuinely warm and very polite, we were made to feel very welcome. The menu choice is vast, I was genuinely spoilt for choice from the array of dishes. I eventually chose calamari as a starter and a lobster ravioli for mains. I love Italian food and this was some of the best I have ever tasted, well presented, really good portion size and the ravioli, wow, lots of it, generously filled and the very tasty cream and tomato sauce contained king prawn and chunks of salmon that went really well. Service was spot on, quick but with no rush put on you. Price wise, nowhere is cheap these days but for Italian food this good, plus a bottle of wine and a side as well, I felt it very good value for money. I was just visiting the area and I now kinda wish I lived in this village, I'd certainly be a regular at Il Lupo. Thank you for an excellent meal

One of the loveliest Italian places we've been to. Excellent atmosphere, wonderful staff, and great food. Only criticisms would be a personal preference for more 'bread-like' pizza dough (higher protein and water content, minimal oil content), and for proper Kalamata olives as opposed to generic (and otherwise awful) "black olives". Oh, and I just prefer linen to serviettes. But otherwise it's a simply wonderful place, with good-quality ingredients, and we'd be delighted to go back in the near future. Thanks very much.

Very warming little place, food was great, only reason for the 4 star is there was a small problem with one but was sorted very quickly and the staff was great at sorting it. We went as a party of 10, was alot talking around but wasn't ovely loud. Only down side is there is no baby changing facilities there which i really struggled with trying to change my little one on my knee sat on the toilet (Males).

Pastas were delicious. We ordered salmon tagliatelle, chicken pomodoro (customised) and linguine carbonara. Kids loved the carbonara and it is by far one of the best pastas we have had in UK- big portions, tasty and unassuming but excellent service I would recommend

My wife and I dined here for the first time and were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and efficient, setting a welcoming tone for the evening. The food was exceptional—beautifully presented and full of flavour. We started with the calamari and prawn salad, both of which were fresh, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. For our mains, we enjoyed two delicious pizzas with crisp bases and generous toppings. To finish, we indulged in dessert, and the puddings did not disappoint—rich, satisfying, and the perfect end to the meal. Overall, a fantastic dining experience, and one I would gladly recommend to anyone looking for quality food and great service in a relaxed setting.

Amazing food! Manager of the restaurant has been our waiter three times and every time he’s been fantastic, even remembering what I had ordered the times before. The service at Il Lupo is always welcoming and very attentive. Great food, nice place and amazing staff!

This has got to be one of the best Italian restaurants. The staff are always very friendly, the atmosphere is nice - whether out for a romantic meal for two or out with friends We have been coming here for a few years now and have never had anything but high quality food.

We live 4 miles from this restaurant, The owner runs the kitchen and has some great guys running the front of house, everything is home cooked and genuine Italian fair, Can’t say we have ever had a bad meal there, Great location in the Peak District walking distance from Chatsworth house. Can thoroughly recommend. 10/10

Would give more stars if I could! I asked for a nice table for two for my mum's birthday and we were seated by a lovely little window near the open fire. The food was absolutely gorgeous and really good value. Best tiramisu I have ever had, and a lovely evening all round.
