4 of us had dinner here last night (Dec 19th) and were all extremely happy with the food, and the pub is beautifully renovated to be smart and cosy but still welcoming and not just a cold modern refresh. We had, between us, the Hake (X2), Burger and Venison followed by Christmas pud, apple and blackcurrant crumble and Panna cotta - plus 2 of the group had starters but I can't recall what. Presentation looked very fancy and the food all tasted super, staff were friendly - only downside was it was so empty which harmed the atmoshere and a real shame to see for a place that has clearly put in so much effort. We thought for the standard of food the prices were reasonable, nothing outside the norm for good quality, in my opinion. Hopefully business picks up for them, if you get a chance to stop by I recommend it. We'll visit again now for sure :)

Drove past this pub many times, over the years, but decided to finally give it a try,, 30 minutes from our home, but well worth the drive,, Booked a table for two, late afternoon on a Friday, can't be doing with a crowded evening out any more. The Inn was very comfortable & warm on this cold rainy day,, good selection of beers & wines, decent prices too, expected it to be more expensive to be honest,, We arrived a bit early, so had a cheeky beer in the luxurious bar area, settees & soft furnishings were well presented. Very friendly staff made us feel welcome,, Small but interesting choices on the menu, we settled down to our table & chose our meals, I went for the Venison with glazed baked carrots, my wife chose the lamb,, Both meals were exceptional, and reasonably priced too !! Would normally expect to pay more in Chester city centre restaurants,, A very enjoyable couple of hours, no room for desert,,, lovely meal. An added whimsical bonus was the carved mice around the property, anyone who's heard of the "mouse man" Robert Thompson, will know of his work,, Lovely touch,,, children would love it ,, Thanks to all the staff & management involved,, Will definitely recommend & will be back in the New Year,, Cheers to the Inn,,,, Dave and Sheenagh Green,,

Its not very often I review venues, as I prefer to pass both complement and criticism to the team at the time. That said, my bucket list stop, every time I arrive in the beautiful Cheshie countryside, is The Inn in Huxley, just down the road from my parents home. I've been lucky in my life, having dined in some awesome places, but if its a mix of exemplary service, quality produce and welcoming atmosphere, the this place has it in plenty. From the smiling friendly welcome of the host, Clive, and his superbly trained staff, where nothing is too much trouble, to the buzz of happy diners throughout the venue and rounded off by beautifully prepared and presented dishes from the hard working kitchen. Today, I had a perfectly balanced Negroni, a rich and unqutios French onion soup, smothered in melted cheese, a perfectly roasted sirloin, rich flavoursome gravy, crisp, fluffy Yorkshire pudding accompanied by excellent fresh vegetables, and a super wobbly white chocolate panna cotta; all washed down with a super crisp rosΓ© to match the lovely weather. Having cheffed in venues around the world and dined at some of the world's best restaurants, The Inn offers quality, consistency and leaves me with a smile on my face when I pay my bill. Value for money 10/10. Quality 10/10 Welcome 10/10. I'm in the country for another couple of weeks and will absolutely be back in for yet another great meal before I travel back. If you are reading this then do yourself a favour. In a world full of mediocrity, get yourself to The Inn, relax and enjoy food that hasn't seen a microwave or come out of a packet and where requests, if feasible, are granted with a smile.

We had our wedding at The Inn at Huxley on 30.11.2024 and it couldnβt have been more perfect. The venue is absolutely beautiful β rustic with wooden beams that create such a warm, charming atmosphere, and the ceremony space with its glass doors made for the most stunning backdrop. The outdoor areas are equally gorgeous and added so much to the day. The food was incredible β our guests kept telling us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding, and we couldnβt agree more. Every course was exceptional. We had to change our date last minute and nothing was ever too much trouble. Clive was amazing throughout the entire process β supportive, responsive, and always available whenever we needed help or reassurance. The Inn at Huxley is a truly special venue, and we feel so lucky to have celebrated our day there. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

Visiting while on holiday and chosen to mark a family birthday, so we hoped it was OK and absolutely blown away. Staff were delightful, just the right level of service and attention, but always friendly. Food excellent, tasty and good value for money, and good selection of drinks, including non alcoholic. The building is beautiful. Loved the stone and wood carvings and attention to detail. Definitely worth a visit. Wish we lived nearer!

Absolutely beautiful renovated place, and spotless too. Service and food very good. I visited when almost empty for a snack, so couldn't judge normal atmosphere

Came here for mothers Day lunch. Good welcome and pleasant service. The asparagus starter was really good, and the Sunday roast was nice but overpriced, in my opinion. In addition, the "mother" received a gift of a single daffodil, not even a bunch, and felt quite mean

We had Sunday lunch here. Every single thing was beyond expectations; pigβs cheeks, roast beef, fresh bread. And the service from every member of staff was faultless. Β£30 for two courses. Super cosy atmosphere. If youβre in the area you must visit this restaurant.

The food here is excellent and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The building feels rustic and full of character despite being relatively new. Plenty of parking spaces in the car park. You get what you pay for here.
