   Lovely pub. The service would be 5 stars if you consider getting some EV chargers in your car park. If you had them, I could have topped up my car by 40 miles on a 7kw charger, or have a full battery in 45 minutes if you had a rapid charger available. Dogs were made welcome too

   We booked a table for the festive menu for 4 people for 5.00pm on the 11th December 2025. When we ordered our meals we was advised that they had not hot any turkey left so we asked have you got any other meat and was advised no. Bearing in mind the restaurant was empty at the time and only 3 other tables had people sat at them. Instead of the festive meal we had to choose from the other menu and ended up with pie and chips so not very festive. Starters one of us had pate and the toast was all burnt. One had the cheese crochets that was not crochets they was round balls that had been overcooked. We Spoke to the manager later after we ordered alternative meals and was waiting for them she said we only cook turkey as we go and we said but it was 5 pm and you must have know you had bookings so your going to ah e a lot of complaints. She said do you want me to change your meals and we said no we ordered them ages ago and will be ready now to be brought out . Also very over priced in our opinion would not recommend

   Just came from the Pub, its sunday and I was hoping for a lovely sunday roast. Unfortunatelly it was far from that ☹️ we had to wait for 50 min for our order and finally when it was served it was cold and not very nice at all. Staff was nice apart from the bar tenant lady, she wasn’t pleasant, not smiling at all. So overall it was avarage. Only lovely thing about the place was the ambiance. Have to say that it was a real soul of Pub enviroment.

   We loved every single moment . The staff made christmas delightful without the stresses of cooking and dishes . It was our 1st time eating out on christmas day and will for sure 100% be back next year ! We didn't have any issues, though, a few comments to be made regarding choices for the gluten-free menu, which I have raised already with GK, though it didn't dampen our days . The 0% was a delightful treat, and we were so glad we felt like we were 100% enjoying the christmas spirits . All snr staff were happy and delightful as always . Id 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone and especially if you're thinking of eating out christmas day !

   Had a wonderful meal here. Barber's burger & the Duo chicken were incredibly tasty. Sticky toffee pudding and brownie dessert are also just as tasty! We were seated and served by Chris, a very friendly and welcoming chap. 100% will be going back to try out the other dishes on the menu, props to the chef(s)!

   Lovely pub nice and cosy. Food was good and the staff were so lovely and friendly. I am giving it 4 stars only because there griddle wasn't working so there was quite a few things you couldn't order. But I really enjoyed what I did have I had a garlic mushrooms on a crumpet for starter and mushroom and ale pie for mains.

   Bit of a last minute decision to have a birthday meal out… so pleased we chose The Griffin. Right from walking through the door we were welcomed by Rebecca, seated, and left in the superbly capable hands of Hussein. Food was excellent, definitely a few levels above ‘pub grub’ Well done to all the team… we’ll be back!

   I took my son and grandson for lunch, on arriving we was met with a very helpful young waiting on staff, we was seated in a lovely place. Plenty of room. We ordered our food and didn't wait long for it to come, it was lovely and hot and well presented, we all enjoyed the food and will certainly be calling back in the future, would recommend the Korean chicken was beautiful, Thank you

   Food was ok, nothing to rave about. Side salad was wilted and brown it had a dressing on, when it was replaced just got full plain lettuce leaves. Small portions. Won't be rushing back. Paid extra for brisket on top of mac&cheese was that tiny more like crumbs.

   Duck was very chewy and I couldn't eat it. We told the waitress and she said she would let the chef know. The shared starter was very nice. The main meals were good (apart from the duck).
