We went to the Old Plough in Chobham for Sunday lunch. The car park was packed, the out buildings full and the tables in the main restaurant totally filled. Did that impact on the service or food? Absolutely not. Rarely have I seen such a professionally run dining room. The staff are all excellent. And I have no idea how the kitchen can deliver so many delicious dishes on time. Highly recommended. Brilliant.

This is a keeper, adorable food and friendly staff. We hadn't made a reservation, but still they managed to squeeze in the 10 of us. Quite a few choices for the main course and an impressive number of desserts. I ordered the Fish and Chips made with cod. Really delicious and crispy batter, mashed peas, and tartar sauce, just as it should be. Had the pistachio and almond cake.

Party of 3 came on a Sunday lunchtime. It was extremely busy, full of happy customers. Staff struggling to keep up but always friendly and cheerful. Food was absolutely incredible, we all had roasts of different kinds and all loved them. Veg was cooked nicely. Puddings, 2 of us had the warm plum and pistachio tart and one had the affogato and they were all delicious. Espresso to finish, which was one of the best I've had in a restaurant and a wonderful way to finish off the meal. Definitely would recommend highly, and hope to be back!

Visited upon recommendation from a friend...thankful I took her advice! Friendly staff, airy & comfortable garden, gorgeous menu & delicious food. The seafood sharing plate (see photo) could easily accommodate 3 or 4 people with another side or 2.....for 2 people sharing we were more than satisfied.

Waitress was very attentive and the food was really good apart from the chips which I found a bit bland and a little over cooked. Nice place for a family get together. I would say booking is needed as was busy at weekend lunch time

Had a great time at The Old Plough. The fish and chips was absolutely excellent. Top marks for service and environment as well. Look forward to going back.

Popped in at around 2pm on a Saturday for a late lunch. Six Nations rugby was on and both the bar and restaurant were very busy. Despite that, a table for two was found by the friendly attentive staff. We both had fish and chips and it was the best fish and chips I’ve had for some time. The batter was light and crispy and two pieces of chunky cod. Chips were thick cut with skin on, again very tasty. Will definitely be back here to try more on the menu!

Visited here on a busy Sunday late afternoon. It was VERY busy, so chaotic. Food was good, but not without issues. We had the 2 courses for set price and the fishcake was all potato, zero fish. Roast was nice, very big, but good value. Sticky toffee pud was the best dessert. Would visit again perhaps on a quieter night.

This is a lovely spot. Plenty of parking. Nice outdoor dining areas. One under cover called the potting shed where reservations are required. There is a lawned area with benches for drinks only. I had the rump steak medium rare and it was cooked that way. It was excellent. The pork tenderloin dish was nice, but could have been cooked a little less which would have made it more juicy. However two in the party had fish and chips. They both said it was awful. Loads of batter and not much fish. The fish was oily and dry and the chips overcooked. The brownie dessert was delicious. Service was good. Unfortunately just let down by the fish and chips.
