A nice rustic pub with polite and friendly staff, but only when taking the order. I ordered the Stanley S fried chicken with chips. The chicken was extremely salty, the chips were ok. My favourite Worthington was good but quite expensive, Β£4.80 a pint! When I paid, the staff politely asked me how the food was, I replied "not bad but salty". No comment, no apology, nothing. The bill was Β£26.10 and I paid Β£30 cash, my choice of course as this was my way of saying thank you for the service, and the same guy had no reaction; no thank you, no smile, no eye contact. What an experience!

I recently visited The Stanley Arms, and it was an outstanding experience! The friendly, welcoming staff make you feel right at home, and the pub has a cosy, traditional atmosphere perfect for relaxing with friends or family. The food is fantastic; freshly prepared, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The menu has something for everyone, and it pairs perfectly with their excellent selection of ales, beers, and other drinks. The pub also has a great community feel, making it a favourite spot for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re after a delicious meal, a friendly pint, or a relaxed evening out, The Stanley Arms is a must-visit in Prescot. Highly recommended!

If you like a nice cosy country pub away from loud and rowdy crowds this is your place! The staff are amazing and helpful, very busy tending to tables and always smiling! The food was amazing and at a quality I would put at a level alongside several high end restaurants we have visited and at a very reasonable price. I had the spicy belly pork bites for a starter which I would recommend, for mains I had the cod and chips with mushy peas which was cooked perfectly. We eat out regularly when we are out and about and would safely say this is the best pub serving food we have visited within a 50 mile radius of Liverpool! 10/10........ only the 1 picture of food unfortunately as was too busy eating it!

3.5 stars. We visited on a Sunday at 12pm and we both ordered the lamb roast which was delicious and the staff who were on were all polite and we got served quickly. The pub itself is nicely presented inside and out and was nice and clean with a big car park as it's not somewhere you would want to walk to as it's a little out the way. I thought it was let down slightly by the portion size and selection of the veg which was a small tray of carrot, cabbage and broccoli between 2 adults. No cauliflower, parsnips, green beans or stuffing, who serves a roast without stuffing!? Annoyingly in the background the phone was constantly ringing and wasn't being answered for the hour we spent there.

A lovely place, a car is needed as it's a bit off the beaten track, but a nice walk if you want to build up an appetite. The outside area is fantastic in the summer, and there is plenty of seating. Now for the 'Pub Grub'. It's simply delicious, really impressed with the menu, the quality, and the presentation. The staff are friendly, courteous, and, most importantly, happy. It's definitely worth a visit

We had a family gathering of 11 there last Sunday for dinner. We came over from Dublin. While the food was nice, (average to be honest,) it could have been hotter and slightly bigger portions. The service was a little slow too. Desserts were lovely, but disappointed that there was no tea or coffee being served to finish our meal. Overall a good experience but could do with a bit more attention to details.

Amazing service, professional yet warming. This is not just pub grub the food is amazing and the specials are just that. The decor and ambience was lovely and felt like a nice treat. Booked already for our next visit and bringing the family along. It’s been on our doorstep for years can’t believe we have only just tried here.
