   My first visit, beer was excellent and plenty of lagers to pick from on draft, pub was busy staff managed to get throu customers quickly, toilets were excellent very clean, only critism someone opened door leading to beer garden and left it open in middle of october had to put my coat back on has it was cold.

   I’m ok with low quality food at £15 per dish, but both our dishes were burnt. I sent mine back and my friend kept hold of his. We got an apology and then were ignored for the rest of the sitting. Asked for the desert board and chose…, the manager walked over and turned her back on us to talk to friends at the next table. It’s a shame that in her mind the chef burning food is our fault. We thought the pieces of chocolate cake were child portions, but they were the £6 full price ones. Go for drinks though. The atmosphere was nice with the people in there and the toilets were clean.

   I always arrange to meet my friends here when ever I visit my home town. Best pub food in Maghull love it. Cozy pub and brilliant staff. Also a very reasonsble price. I book my day there from 12 to 10pm. Always get well looked after.

   I disliked the food all frozen the carrot and turnip was the only thing that had any flavour in it. Sticky toffee pudding was over done in the microwave and tasted weird. The service was ok can't fault the waitresses who were friendly and there was a nice Sunday atmosphere in there on the bar side. They really need to get away from cheap frozen produce and try some fresh locally sourced veg and meat then this place would be a winner.
