In a leafy part of Ewell by the Hogsmill River, it hits the spot with tasty well presented food and a wide selection of drinks. Limited parking in the car park and most streets locally are residents parking only. Bourne Hall Park is across the road and its kid friendly. One part is carpeted and better for if you are hard of hearing/wear hearing aids.
Popped in here with friends for a Saturday lunch. Service was warm if a bit slow, but the steak and Malbec pie was worth the wait. Delicious and the perfect fall treat.
Tremendous! We've been to The Spring Tavern many times over the last 15 years, and today, by far, was the best visit for food. Previously we've had minor niggles but boy, oh boy, this was superb from the time we walked in and were greeted to having a main course to salivating at the puddings. Natasha looked after us, very attentive but not intrusive, you never felt you'd been missed or waiting for service. Every dish was perfect, this included 2 fantastic pizzas, a huge & succulent 'dirty' burger and the most indulgent steak & Malbec pie. We thought these dishes were good but the puddings were all top draw, especially the Chocolate bomb & the Sicilian lemon tart. With various alcoholic drinks the bill was £154 which we were happy to pay for such good fare, and it was nice to see, that a tip was your choice and not added automatically. Overall, this was a faultless meal and we most certainly will be back.
Just had an early dinner in the pub garden here today with my daughter. Beautiful pub with a sun trap of a garden! I was served by Georgia who was so friendly and welcoming. She even helped me choose from the menu which was varied and reasonably priced especially as the food was delicious! My daughter and I have decided this is our new spot for Summer ☀️☀️☀️
Good pub, food was good, but very limited gluten free menu… food was also pricy! Staff were friendly and engaging, nice relaxing place
Jason and the team were very friendly, prompt and professional. We felt very welcome. The food was delicious. Desserts looked like from a Pro Bake-Off contest!
Georgia & Jason made our evening great, their customer service was 5 star. I couldn't fault them both they were very helpful with recommendations for drinks and food and both had good banta which made it easy to connect. I would highly recommend the spring tavern and look forward to our next visit.
We were heading down south from London and just wanted a quick pub lunch, so we popped by the Spring Tavern. It was excellent! Lovely pub, fantastic food and absolutely spectacular service - particularly from Maria! We will definitely be planning our routes through Surrey to take us back to Spring Tavern next time we're heading down south. Highly recommended for anything from a romantic countryside lunch to a family outing!
