We came for Sunday roast on November 16th with our spaniels and we loved it. Itβs actually the second time weβve been for roast here and both times weβve been highly impressed. Carla served us and she was excellent, really attentive, kind and above all else, excellent customer service that really made a difference. The food was excellent again, as was the atmosphere of the pub. I had the duo of beef roast (pictured) and it was delicious, the spaniels agreed when they got their share. All in all a really good roast in a really lovely pub served by an excellent waitress. If youβre thinking about trying it, go ahead and book it, you wonβt be disappointed.

Absolutely loved this place and without doubt, their 'Dirty Burger' was one of the best burgers I've ever had and the sticky toffee pudding was divine. Service was exceptional and I'd like to mention Sophie (Soapy) who served us: she had the most wonderful demeanor and a 'can-do' attitude which will get her far. I just know that whatever she turns her hand to, she'll do well and she's a credit to Ramblers Rest.

We had a truly lovely experience at The Ramblers Rest. The atmosphere is charming and relaxed, with a beautiful outdoor setting that feels both welcoming and cosy. The Sunday roast was absolutely delicious-rich, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The SP Cod was fresh and tasty, though slightly undercooked this time. The idea of mini desserts is excellent β the chocolate brownie with ice cream was a perfect sweet touch. The wine (Bijou RosΓ©) was exquisite and paired wonderfully with the meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming, although understandably very busy, and we really appreciated the warm dog-friendly atmosphere. We are already planning to return to try more dishes, and especially to visit in the evening when the lights create such a romantic setting. Highly recommended!

Visited the Ramblers Rest pub for Fatherβs Day and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome. Itβs also a dog-friendly pub, which was a huge plus as we brought our dog along and she was made to feel just as welcome! For food, I had the king prawns to start, the beef roast for my main, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, every single dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Definitely a place weβll be coming back to!

As my family are always on the lookout for a decent breakfast, we thought we would try the Ramblers Rest as they recently introduced a breakfast. Headed there on a Sunday morning for 9:30 and were the only ones there throughout! Not great for atmosphere but the food was brilliant. The large full English is substantial and extremely tasty at Β£14. The standard is Β£10. Both good prices in my view. The dishes boasted lovely sausages, amazing hash browns (the best I have had) and nice additional usuals such as bacon, toast, beans, black pudding, eggs and mushrooms. The mushrooms were a mixed mushroom medley which was a nice touch. My kids had scrambled egg on toast and the mini breakfast. Both really enjoyed them although the scrambled egg was quite peppery and a more grown up taste than my four year old is used to. My eldest demolished most of hers. With drinks, all in, we looked at about Β£50 which was excellent for the quality of the food. Our server explained that the breakfasts were not going too well and that not many people were taking them up. I would urge any breakfast lovers in the area to get themselves down to the Ramblers Rest to keep this offering alive. We will be back - and with reinforcements!!

Fantastic renovated and better managed pub! Actually worth travelling a little out of your way for. Lovely service and food and decor. Very cosy with a really warm and welcoming feel. Ample parking too. Definitely recommend and would go back! Food is well presented and tasty. Great for gourmet pub food but not quite as good as restaurant food which is why this review gets 4 stars.

The venue has had a total refurbishment since we were there last. The venue interior was green and dark but we had a table by the window in the corner. The tables are well spaced out .The menu is large covering everything from steak to pizza , burgers and pasta something to satisfy any person's taste. The menu highlights by the item what it's vegan etc . Prior to ordering the waiter or waitress ask if there are any dietary needs or allergies which is reassuring. My partner and friend had spicy King prawn which had plenty chillies and had a kick to it. I had King mushrooms, I then went for for Belly pork and scallops for main, my partner went for salmon. Drinks we had a bottle of Prosseco for the girls , I had A proper Job beer, and my friend had lime and soda. 2 of us had coffee to follow one being an Irish coffee. Service was very good, medium sized portions. The meal for 4 came to a little over Β£175.00 . The food was flavoursome and well presented. A nice pub in the country serving quality food. Also ample parking. We will return again I recommend the venue. Give it a try.

Attentive yet unobtrusive service. Great choice of dishes. Happy with the seared salmon and Florentine fishcakes. Side salad and especially chips portion very small but tasty.
