We had a great experience at What's Cooking? in Liverpool! I hadn’t had a burger in quite a while, so this was a fun and delicious change. I went for a meaty option, of course, while my partner chose a vegetarian dish — and both of us were really happy with our choices. Everything was full of flavour, cooked just right, and we left feeling absolutely satisfied. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal. What really stood out was the service — super quick and incredibly friendly. The staff made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. And as for the location — unbeatable! Right in the heart of the Albert Dock area, with lovely views and great vibes all around. Highly recommended if you're in Liverpool and fancy something tasty in a great setting.

Food came out quickly and based on other reviews we were a bit hesitant as they said the food was lackluster however we found the complete opposite. It was really good! A bit expensive at around £50 ish for two drinks and two burgers but the food was good nonetheless. Staff were friendly!

Nothing special about this place. I think I could call it a tourist trap because of the prices and what they actually serve on the plate. The hamburger bun was the cheapest possible, cold and crumbly. I even had to go and find the waiter myself to pay, after waiting 20 minutes once we had finished and no one paid us any attention.

Drinks are superb, but the food is a bit off. Portion is disappointing when compared to the high price, guess because the location. Love the historical atmosphere. Sat before the bar and saw the cheerful bartender who seems he really loves his job. Great vibes.

Fantastic Location right on the docks, there is an option for outdoor seating which was perfect for the sunny weather - Service is friendly, fast and efficient - Food was served quickly. I ordered the Fajitas and was shocked when they arrived with the meat still sizzling and the ability to create your own fajitas it was a very cool experience! The drinks were great too the cloudy lemonade came in a lovely jug with the added extra of a mint plant, making it perfect for a picture. It’s around £20 a head here but that is a standard price for a meal these days and you are paying for fantastic quality!

Food is quite expensive, some meals were really good, such as, mixed starter/spicy chicken main/hot dogs/burritos/salad, but the burgers were a bit of a let down. Considering an American burger joint mainly, the burgers didn't seem home made and we've had better elsewhere unfortunately. It was busy, but service could do with a bit of work, waited for the bill for quite some time trying to flag people down. We were a big table sat by the door which kept on being open for sometime, which obviously can't be avoided as not many places to sit a large table but would put me off.

Nice restaurant but if you sit outside you have to order on the app(which you have to pay over it and give too much information) or you have to go inside and order and pay. Didn’t like that experience. I would like to sit outside and also order at the table. Note on the burger - all have double patty, maybe too much meat ? I got the one with pulled pork and was a bit too much meat, and no other flavors. See in the picture. The French fries was good :) and the fajitas as well. The burrito with jackfruit was also good but maybe too spicy. Oh, the the guacamole came with huge pieces, and no seasoning… sad :(

This place alone is worth a trip to Liverpool! Great setting on Albert Dock, good range of food on the menu, and the food we ordered was amazing. Service was prompt and food came quickly. Definitely give this place a try!

Stunningly decorated restaurant with a very comfortable atmosphere, perfect for having a delicious meal and drink. The staff are super friendly and helpful with suggestions on the menu if you’re unsure of what to order. I really enjoyed the Cheers For 40 Years celebration home craft pale ale, I would absolutely suggest having it while dining here. The food is served in a mouthwatering display and is fantastically delicious.
