   First of all looks a lovely pub walked inside seemed nice Saturday night busy, the atmosphere changed group of young lads making you feel intimidated trying to cause trouble the manager Phoebe is probably one of the rudest people I’ve ever met no customer service skills at all can’t run a pub young lads kick of she does nothing clearly there underage drinking well she allows this offered things in bathroom not a nice place at all kids running around at midnight young kids maybe 4 or 5? other bar woman was lovely very polite can see the manager is running the place into the ground I hope someone takes over one day great potential pub just a shame not run right at all. If your going to run a in have good people skills over s warm welcome not let the place be run by young lads who want trouble

   My wife took some family here for dinner on Friday. The service was excellent - all the team could not have been more helpful and attentive. The quality of the food was excellent, the portions very generous and tasty and, importantly, served piping hot. Definitely cooked to order. A couple of things missing from the menu - probably because of a local food market taking place - but substitutes were available. All in all, ten of ten. Just a shame we are in Kent or we'd be regulars!

   Had a lovely Sunday roast over the weekend. Food was delicious and the service was great. It's one of the few places that has roast lamb on the menu all year round which is great. The giant Yorkshire puddings are amazing too. It would be good to have some music in the background but aside from that, I couldn't fault it.

   There were five people for Sunday lunch. We arrived on time and were shown to our table immediately. Drinks were ordered and were prompt in arriving. The star of the show was the meal itself. It was waiter service. The meats were cooked perfectly and the vegetables too. The carrots still had a slight bite, and broccoli the same. I mention those in particular because pub Sunday lunches can sometimes be a hit and miss affair where vegetables are concerned. One comment was "this is the best Sunday lunch I've ever had, anywhere ", to which we all agreed . Desserts were truly homemade and delicious. Service was polite and courteous , which all made for a very pleasant time in the Red Lion. I thoroughly recommend it.

   Came here for the Halloween pub quiz (so we would be safe from sports questions) and had a really great time. The quiz and all the bonus game rounds were great fun and Steve, the owner, was an excellent host. We will definitely be back. Lovely atmosphere and friendly people

   We booked for 29 people to celebrate a 90th birthday tonight at the Red Lion. Organisation was excellent people were served altogether food was of an excellent standard.(we had not been for awhile as food not so good ,we were informed new chef and much better) Could not fault it good portions of food, salads and chips with meals were amazing. Salads contained several items not just a piece of lettuce and tomato. Well done Phoebe and the team. We will be going back very soon.

   Went for Sunday lunch today and it was absolutely delicious. Fantastic service from the staff. I had gammon steak which was huge and so tasty and juicy. Home made chips were delicious. My dad had the lamb roast and he said it was lovely. My brother also had the gammon and he said it was the best meal out he had had in ages

   We ate here today for the first time. The Sunday menu was varied and very reasonable. It was a celebration meal and we were pleasantly surprised. The decor is tasteful (not your typical pub meal). The food was delicious, great quality, served professionally. First class food and service. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back. Well done all.
