Ist time visit great views had a late lunch freindly staff clean toilets food ok at affordable prices for 2 or 3 courses
Called in for food due to allergies I asked at the time of booking for items to be checked with the kitchen, when I arrived I was told fish and chips would be fine but after ordering was told I couldn't due to cooking it in a fryer with allergens in. So I chose the 10oz? bacon chop. It was ok and the pineapple was lovely and fresh but I seriously doubt that the bacon chop was 10oz before cooking . The view from the conservatory is lovely but this area could do with some maintenance and cleaning. The staff were all lovely, very welcoming, helpful and happy.
What can I say? We came from far away ..and stopped for lunch on Monday. The welcome was pleasant, the table had a stunning view of the reserve and the park, the food was outstanding, the selection was excellent and the flavors were great!! The staf were friendly, the price was good, everything was perfect, whoever doesn't come is missing out!!! We will be back again when we are in the area and will recommend it to others ...
Exceptional food and stunning views! We had such a great experience at The Boathouse in Parkgate that we came back twice during our visit. The food was outstanding—beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The stuffed chicken with prosciutto, slow cooked pork belly, and the special of the seafood risotto were real standouts. The staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and enjoyable dining atmosphere. There’s also an excellent selection of beers on tap, perfect for pairing with the meal or just enjoying while taking in the gorgeous view over the Dee Estuary. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area—this place is a real treat!
Made a last minute phone booking for lunch time today, and I must say, the outcome was very positive. We were given a lovely table in the large bay window, with , ,even though the weather was terrible, a great view, and the Food, presentation,service and attention provided was first class. A big thank you to all involved, we will certainly return for another Dining treat
Unfortunately many of our group ordered corn beef pie. It was cold inside so sent back. They clearly reheated a fresh serving but microwaved shortcrust pastry made it go hard. Pity as otherwise quite nice and other meals good but meant our group didn't eat together.
We had Sunday lunch last week but unfortunately the meal lacked flavour. The chef needs to taste it before serving it to customers, we needed to add salt and pepper ourselves which is very unusual. On the good side the beef was tender and the vegetables were plentiful. Is has certainly put us off returning in the near future.
Came across this place whilst visiting RSPB reserves in the area. They even allow you to watch for birds across the Dee Estuary. With binoculars & bird ID book included. Excellent spot, lovely food & very friendly staff.
Went for late lunch last week end. Very busy pub/restaurant full of walkers, dogs and eaters. They have a huge menu, which isn't always a good sign, but our table of four all chose different starters and mains and every plate was gorgeous. Great staff, lovely pub with great views. Highly recommended.
