Sadly since writing the review below the restaurant closed. I wish the owner and staff well and hope it reopens I love to support local businesses and The Highland Steakhouse never fails to disappoint. The owner is ever present and welcoming. I highly recommend my usuals, deep fried Camembert followed by chicken highland accompanied by freshly made chips, deep fried onions and courgettes, an absolute joy.

Two of us visited on a Sunday afternoon. The initial reception was very warm β our coats were taken, and we were promptly seated. The waitress who took our drinks order was pleasant, and the gentleman (presumably the owner, as he will be referred to in this review) who handled the food order was equally courteous. The food itself was excellent. Both soups were well prepared, and the mains β salmon and T-bone steak β were outstanding. Unfortunately, the experience declined sharply from that point onward. After finishing our meal, we requested the bill. A waitress brought over some Turkish delight and told us, βThe bill is coming.β Ten minutes passed with no sign of it. When I gestured to another waitress across the restaurant, she shrugged and pointed towards the owner, who was busy taking an order from a table of six. After a further five or so minutes, a waitress passing by informed us that only the owner could prepare the bill. I pointed out that if one person alone is responsible for both taking food orders and producing bills, the other staff should at least notify him when a table has already been waiting, rather than prioritising new orders. When a waitress eventually brought the bill, she even drew attention to the service charge β and seemed surprised when I declined to pay it. Only then did the owner come over to apologise, though he appeared confused when I explained that his business desperately needs better systems to avoid such situations. What began as a promising visit could, and should, have been an entirely positive experience. Instead, it was marred by a combination of disorganisation, poor management, and untrained staff β a disappointing reflection on an establishment with such good food.

My family had an absolutely wonderful experience at this Mediterranean gem. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Shakir, the owner, who personally took our order and made us feel right at home. His genuine hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. The food was nothing short of amazing: every dish was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the care and quality in each bite. A special thank you to Sevil and Rose, our lovely waitresses, who were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout our meal. Outstanding service, delicious food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere! We will definitely be back!

Quite a traditional steakhouse which if that's what you're looking for, this is a great restaurant to try. First of all it really looks the part and the service was absolutely fantastic. We did go at a quieter time but even so their approach with their customers is fantastic. Lovely staff! The steaks themselves are decent quality and very tasty. Cooked to the exact temperatures we ordered which needs to be recognised as not all steakhouses seem to be able to do this! My only suggestions for improvement, though would not reduce this rating, is for the veg to be cooked through and for the fat of the steaks to be rendered properly. Finally, good desserts and coffee as well. And prices overall seemed relatively reasonable which is a nice bonus all things considered. We will definitely be back.

Me and my family have been going to this restaurant for years. The owner is so lovely and always greets us when we come in. Food is always delicious and service is exceptional. Would recommend. P.s try the crispy onion side if you like onions theyβre the best Iβve ever eaten.

Excellent place for steak. Lovely service we were there for my sons birthday and had my granddaughter with us so we got there early so it wasn't busy. The only down side was I couldn't have the mustard or the dressing as they both contained gluten as they were ready made. It's a shame because I did phone before hand to enquire about allergies and they said I would be fine. I feel they need to brush up on their allergy knowledge. But the food was really good my son had the t-bone steak and it was cooked to perfection. My granddaughter had the spaghetti bolognese she loved it, I had the sirloin which was lovely. I would definitely go there again

Food was delicious and good size portions with amazing service. I would not say this was a family place purely due to cost, for adults its worth it but with young children or those that can be fusay with food i wouldnt risk the waste. Steaks beautifully cooked honestly couldn't fault the food. Restroom not used.
