Popped in for an evening warm drink and desserts. Most other venues were noisy, no food available etc but Zizi's were welcoming and the drinks and puddings were fantastic! Music was tasteful and low volume, decor great low lit but not dark, staff welcoming and friendly. If you want a quiet chat, lovely evening sweets and great choice of drinks in York after 7pm this is the place to go!

Olives were nice, but would have preffered pitted olives personally, and could have been a bigger portion. Garlic bread with caramelised onion starter was nice and enough for 2 people to share a small portion each. Salad was lovely with lots of sauce and added goats cheese. Malbec was nice. Wagyu pizza was very good and the honey sauce was very nice. Vincent our waiter was new and he got our orders right and was very polite. Vegan chocolate cake was nice but probably would have been better had it been warm and maybe with some vegan ice cream. Overall lovely meal.

We were here for lunch, ordered two pasta servings and a truffle-flavoured pizza and of course desserts. And the food were simply awesome! To top it all off, we were taken care of by a beautiful n super friendly staff by the name of Andrea. Arguably the sweetest girl in York! Do visit Zizzi!

I think this place is profiling for bigger groups, like 4+ people. Regardless we were properly served and food was fantastic. I recommend plum crumble for a dessert - both my partner and me think it was the best dish that day.

Changed cocktail menu is now poor choices Couldn’t make me a Bellini as it would mess up the stock. Garlic bread was lacking cheese and onion topping. Pasta main course was perfect Pudding was also perfect. Not enough staff working for a Sunday this close to Christmas it was heaving they were clearly rushed off there feet and lots of customers were turned away.

Monday afternoon. York eateries busy. Zizi had availability. Seated quickly. Drinks in and order in too. Starters good. Harrisa chicken very tasty. Rigatoni delacasa flavourless. Kids meal had eyelash within. This got sorted quickly with initial apologies. Kids were not bowled over by their food. Youngest left the meat of the bolognese just ate the pasta. However replacement was given more or less without any words. No further apologies. Starter cutlery either taken away and not replaced. Or put down on the table from being in the plate? Asked for further cutlery sets to replace. Dark haired lady not interested in who she serves. Done without grace. Other staff seem busy. Maybe slightly understaffed. No round of service type questions asked. For example everything ok with the food? No follow up ask of second drinks when empties clearly piled at the end of the table. Free pasta chips placed on table again no explanation of why. Hit and miss with service from staff in this place. Doesn't match the cost of the meal. Actually a very late, " Is everything ok guys" from dark haried lady was provided. Lady happens to be the boss. Too late as now onto desserts. Kids ice creams good. Tiramisu very good. Blonde lady Eva asking on desserts did apologise for the hair in food. So service varies from individuals. Would only recommend if you do not have anywhere else to go. Overall scores. Eldest- 3 star. Youngest- 3 star even with hair incident. Wife- blonde hair lady redeemed this poor service 3 star. Myself- lacks attentiveness. Hair incident. Lack of cutlery for main meal. Lack of second round of drinks. Firm 3 stars as the establishment itself is nice, music not so loud and the harissa chicken was good compliments to the chef on that one. Chocochino which should come included with kids 3 course meal- no mention of this throughout. Staff did offer to remove price of kids bolognese from the bill- bill had desserts added to bill. Staff Noticed and re-billed. Toilets- ladies out of order had to use the mens. Make of this what you will.

Amazing place took the little one she loved it. Some crayons and a puzzle kept her happy whist waiting for food. Starter, main and ice cream all under one childs menu. Gluten free options, pasta and pizza, really tasty and well organised food served with a gluten free sticker on the plate. Service was brilliant really polite and warming. Would go there again.
