Interesting opinions about the adorable place. Some highs and a few lows. Here in mid October/25 for a 60th bday. We were recommended to go be a Michelin star chef friend. Started out great, lovely and adorable server, really good selection of mocktails (only for me) the apps were really good. Mains had a couple of standout items, the ‘pie’ was excellent and the beef tongue was wonderful. The partridge was ‘ok’, but, it’s a tricky bird to cook. The short ribs were lovely, rich and tender and the dish also quite good. So, here’s the not so good. Service was unattentive, slow and honestly…odd. At one point, our server (the adorable one) put his coat on and went through the front of the establishment (we had front window seating) and left for 20 min!!! We were shocked! And no one came to check on us for 15 min! We finally flagged down a different server to be able to place our dessert orders. We have never had anything like that happen! Our server came back in just as we were retrieving out coats. Very odd, and no explanation was offered. Would I go back, maybe, but with so many great offerings in London…..probably not

Fabulous leisurely lunch. Service was knowledgeable and friendly. All the food was excellent. Stand out dishes included the cured trout starter, lamb and bacon pie, porchetta tonnata, and the skate. The tomato salad was a revelation as was the peach, courgette, almond and basil salad. We just about had room for desserts, including a delicious summer pudding and profiteroles. We were a table of 6, 4 of whom were visiting Quo Vadis for the first time. They all loved it and want to return.

Truly one of the best and most special dining experiences I've had in recent memory. The service when I first arrived and sat in the restaurant was wonderful, before moving outside when my guest arrived, where we sat for the remainder of the evening. Ella was absolutely brilliant. Her recommendations were spot on - the eel sandwich was to die for, and the appetisers were beautiful. I also had no idea when I booked that it was Martini Time (£6 martinis, Wednesdays 6-8pm - unheard of in London, especially at such a special location) - which was a very welcome addition to our already perfect evening. We will be back on many future Wednesdays, I'm sure. Ella is wonderful - and by the end of the evening had totally convinced me and my friend to become Quo Vadis members. We couldn't have had a better evening. Highly recommend.

QV has been on our list for some time and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is lovely; very calm and cool - perfect for a very hot day in London! The staff were very attentive, without being overbearing and were able to answer our questions about the restaurant, the food etc. The drinks menu is excellent, so many beautiful cocktails! Of course, the menu and artwork, designed by John Broadley, were a treat to see - I immediately need to buy myself a print or two! The food is incredible; it is playful and hearty (a little like chef Lee I imagine). A few oysters to start, heaven. We couldn’t visit without trying the famed eel sandwich, and it is definitely worth the hype! The pie of the day with slow cooked lamb and salsa verde with suet pastry, was delicious and went well with a simple salad and fries on the side. Though we didn’t need any dessert, we couldn’t resist sharing the custard tart with rhubarb and pistachio - it doesn’t sound it but it was surprisingly light! We left feeling very full, and very satisfied!

Wanted to try their famous Smoked Eel Sandwich for a long time and eventually got a chance to visit it with a few friends for a late lunch. Their menu was rather simple. I had a Soup of the Day which was a creamy fennel soup and a Smoked Eel Sandwich while my friends had other dishes. The sandwich was in bite size with four pieces of eel in it and it was quite tasty. The Pie of the Day was a chicken pie that was a pleasant surprise. It's quite generous with probably 1/3 chicken in the pie. The price of their wines on the wine list was on a high side. We came at 2pm and the place was like half full. The table setting was quite tight though.

Eels sandwich is one to remember! The rest of the meal ( baked salsify, venison and ox cheek) was delicious and service was attentive yet relaxed. Cocktails and wine list were on point too!

The concept is very innovative and the food well presented with interesting flavours, small plates are tasty but not all they work in a cohesive way, so maybe some recommendation of the waiter of what to mix and what not to would be better. Mains were outstanding, my partner loved the pie and I loved the halibut. The ambience was ok and the place was overall very pleasant. What this place fails is at service, our drinks took too long, we got the first round after the small plates, I asked for the drink menu again and it took close to 5 minutes to get it. We have to ask for water, missing fork and the check twice. Unfortunately the service doesn’t make justice to the potential of the food.

So we got married! Last week, we had our reception here. Julia and other staff were so attentive! Beautiful place, helped us continuously and throughout. Made a bar for us and just continuously catered to our every need. We hired the blue room, recommend! Also the sausage rolls and cheese twists are to die for!!

I really like that they change the menu here regularly and have some great traditional British dishes to try. They also have a members bar here where they have a good selection of wine and drinks. The venue itself is stylish as well.
