   Great location off the M25 and M26. Food was delicious we had the 2 course Seasonal menu. Great Salmon Gravalax starter and Roast Beef with vegetables, delicious roast potatoes and individual gravy boats. Look forward to returning in 2026 to try the normal menu.

   Me and my partner went in for lunch on a Sunday, A little confused about the parking as you’re meant to go into the hotel and register your car and not pay for parking (had to double check with staff as private parking companies can be quite vicious and I nearly paid for parking as well) There was only us and one other table in the restaurant, everything was a bit slow apart from the food coming out, and the first waiter was helpful but seemed a bit off when we ordered I had a chicken burger from the “from the grill” section of the menu for nearly £17, bit of small portion for the sides and the quality maybe didn’t match the price? but the burger contained a whole chicken breast that was pale and lukewarm, asked the wait staff as it came out really quick and wasn’t hot, They came back from the kitchen and told me that they pre cooked them in the oven an hour ago and reheat them to order, by the looks of it they just grabbed one off the tray that had been sat out cooling for an hour The staff were very apologetic and offered to remake it, we had to leave due to the time and they took it off the bill, the staff handled everything very well and I’m grateful for that, but even after that we were waiting a while for the bill, (by this point we were the only customers in the building) I do think that this place needs to decide what it wants to be and maybe a bit more thought needs to be put in, they’ve clearly put the money into it, from the private parking company, the fleet of Tesla chargers, the decor inside and out, mannerisms of the staff and menu pricing, They are viewing themselves as a higher class but unfortunately don’t seem to be backing it up In practice, Also it’s 2025, maybe pop at least 1 vegan dish on the menu Me and the missus have now vowed to avoid places with purple lighting

   We came to this restaurant for an afternoon tea for my friend's birthday. We were looked after by Dhimant who was very attentive. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were prepared by chef Amro. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back. We thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

   I took my mum, grandmother and vegan sister for the Mamma Mia's mother's day afternoon tea and it was amazing. The food was beautiful and there was plenty of tasty vegan options for my sister. Atmosphere was so calm and pretty with the harpist playing and our server Saraa was so polite and made us feel special. Thank you so much

   Attentive and kind staff with good humor and attention to detail. We stayed multiple nights and enjoyed every meal. The menu is varied between traditional and global. Every restaurant experience was wonderful we will be coming back! Saraa, Deep and their colleagues were all so very nice.

   Could not give 0 stars! This place is shocking. Booked for Sunday lunch to meet family and we all travelled over an hour to get there. Website is very misleading with false photos and out of date menus. On arrival all bar tables were dirty, we ordered coffee which was dumped on the table by the most miserable member of staff. We were then told there was no Sunday lunch and we would have to eat bar food. The chef and receptionist tried to be helpful but we decided to leave elsewhere. The worst hotel I have ever visited.

   Visited The Chartwell Restaurant last Saturday evening with my family, had to try it out, have realised now that all the good reviews are from mainly a few years years ago, it seems obvious to us now that the management must have changed in reacent times, I must admit the food was adequate, on the same par with pub grub though we was expecting better, the main problem was with the staff not the chef, the communication was awful, especially the man with the suit on, he kept on repeating 'Thank you please' every time we spoke to him, that was non stop as well as every time our 7 year old granddaughter asked him a question, my main concern was at the end while paying the bill, while my card was in the reader, I was checking the bill and he went off with the card in the reader, he came back 30 seconds later and gave me the card back, I have had to cancel my card for security reasons which has caused me problems. We would never go back.
