    Had Das wake here today. Scott (Landlord) was excellent and really helpful in the run up to and during the event. The buffet they arranged was excellent and there was lots of very tasty food. Definitely recommended and will be visiting again soon.

    Stopped in The Eagle for lunch after a trip to the secret bunker. Walked in to a very friendly welcome, sat in their garden having lunch (Cajun spiced chicken was lovely) and saw a couple of deer trot by.. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

    My friend and I visited the secret bunker and decided to look for somewhere to eat. As The Eagle was only down the road I suggested we go. The staff were really friendly, I had a bacon and Brie baguette and my friend has a sausage and onion baguette which were lovely we couldn’t finish them. We also shared the most amazing cheesy chips I have ever had. I would definitely visit again and recommend xx

    Stopped randomly. Got a table no problem Menu looked good steak and ale pie, Mash and 3 veg Tasty and jam packed with steak, no filler gravy Puddings were quite pricey 3 coffees and 3 puddings somewhat over £25

    Lovely pub restaurant. Cosy bar at the front with fires to make it extra cosy. We went to the rear dining room with views of the garden, and it was delightful the watching the birds, the squirrels and the fallow deer visiting the garden. Nice choice of traditional British favourites. I had beef and Guinness pudding which was tasty and also light, perfect. Very friendly and helpful staff.

    Attended a friends and family reception following a funeral for a much loved man. Quick, responsive, friendly bar service, great food ( especially the bowls of chips) and a nice atmosphere. Our group was in a separate large side room and staff kept an eye to ensure that the food was topped up at all times. Shame we live 90 miles away as we would be back sooner, but we'll drop in if we are passing that way again.

The feedback I got from Family and Friends is that they loved the venue and the food was delicious. And we are looking to book a family meal there very soon.
