I visited The Breakspear Arms recently for a meal and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. There was no warmth or friendliness from the staff, and the whole dining experience felt dull and unwelcoming. I ordered a mixed grill, veg manchurian, aloo tikki chaat, and veg noodles. The noodles were far too salty, and while the rest of the food was just about okay, there was a piece of hair in my mixed grill. When I pointed this out, the initial response from the waiter was to deny it, before later admitting it was indeed a hair. There was no real apology β just an offer to bring a few replacement kebabs, which by then Iβd lost my appetite for. When I asked about compensation, I was told the best they could do was remove the service charge, since they had replaced the food β even though the issue shouldnβt have happened in the first place. Another waiter later applied a small discount, but by that point, the experience was already ruined. Overall, poor service, lack of accountability, and disappointing food quality. I also later saw that the restaurant currently has a 1-star hygiene rating, which explains a lot. Sadly, I wonβt be returning, and Iβd recommend checking reviews and hygiene ratings before visiting.

This place is currently rated 1/5 by Food Standard Agency on their website. Not surprising. I don't think I'll be going there again. The lady took the items in for (doggy) bagging and somebody from kitchen seem to have eaten two pieces of chicken from the special chicken dish and threw into the biryani!!! See picture. May be very poorly paid and starved staff by the owners! All that despite a Β£10 tip we gave even with the very late food servings that we had to chase for. Management, what you are doing is wrong.

The venue and banqueting room were impressive, offering a pleasant atmosphere. However, the dining experience fell short of expectations. The food was overly spiced, with an unbalanced flavor profile that did not appeal to our group. We were informed that the restaurant rotates between three chefs and, unfortunately, the least favoured one was on duty during our visit. As a result, none of us found the dishes enjoyable. Surprisingly, the crisps and peanuts were more flavorful than the main offerings, which was quite disappointing.

I used to visit this place in the 90's with my two sons, for a game of pool, a drink & a pub meal when I used to live in Harefield. Now back after nearly 30 years following too many recommendations. A very impressive Indian Food restaurant, elegant layout, excellent food from a varied menu. Service is top, staff are courteous & well trained. We will definitely be returning soon with some of our overseas visiting friends..

I came here for the indian food. I am unlikely to come back here for the indian food as it was not to my taste. There are much better indian food options elsewhere. However I tried the mac and cheese from the kids menu and loved it. It was great value and really good. I would come vack for the mac and cheese.

Got takeout from these guys tonight and am massively impressed. The food was really fresh and well cooked. It was delivered hot and with some epic dips and traditional poppadoms. Would recommend the lamb kebab wrap, butter chicken and samosas.

Attended a private function last night in the side hall (seperate from the main pub). I came here first about 4 years ago and wasn't impressed. But this time the food was really nice. Think they may have changed the chef. Didn't eat in the main pub but I presume the food is the same. Lambs chops, chicken tikka and shish kebabs were all delicious. Family friendly pub showing all the live football games. All food is also non halal for those who are not allowed to or dont eat halal meat (clear sign outside). Will be visiting again soon!

We were meeting with a very dear friend visiting from abroad and thought it would be a good idea to come here as it has the pub feel and Indian cuisine combination. The let down was the fact we felt rushed through the evening. Kept being reminded last orders before 9pm. They served the food and drinks. We had our evening and tried to have a good time. Food was okay. Beers were nice and cold. I do like the fact that they still have a traditional pub menu on offer as well. Not sure if I would return too often. It is not going to be my first choice. Mixed feelings.
